My hubby moved our daughter into college yesterday. I didn't get to go as I could not find a sitter for the other kids and all day would have been to long to leave the 4 week old anyway.
Is it possible to feel empty nest syndrom when you still have a 7,4 and newborn still at home and the college student has lived on her own for a few months anyways???
I felt so left out of the whole "moving in" process. I must have called both hubby and daughters cell phones a dozen times each yeaterday. When he got home I had to fight the urge to keep calling her to see how it was going...luckly the school she is attending is only 45 min. away. Hubby promised that we would go over in a few weeks once she is settled into a routine so that I could see her room and take her to dinner...god just talking about it makes me want to call her...put the phone down...put the phone down......
