Ok here is the problem my boyfriend hurt his knee today at work and it is swolen and red I told him to go to the Dr but you all know how guys all he needs to here from others also so please help me.

I'm taking my mom for surgery to replace both knees next Tuesday. She fell on both her knees and said they were ok. Well guess what they weren't. Tell him to go see a doc.

Blue ice does not penetrate deep enough to help. What you need to do is get a styrofoam cup & fill it almost to the top with water. When it is frozen cut part of the cup off & have him ice his kneee with that.
If not he had betetr see a doctor first thing in the morning.

Im 36 and I had total knee replacement on 3/3, it all started by falling on it. GO TO THE DOCTOR !!!!!!!!!!!!!
that Blue ice crap is just that!!!!! SEE A DOC get a referral for an Orthopedic doctor!!!!!!!!! ASAP

Both my knees are shot from all the years working in a factor. Get your butt to the doctor. Knee injuries do not go away, they just get worse!!!

First off, if he hurt it at work, he needs to contact work first and see what they have to say.. the first thing docs here do when you hurt something like that, is ask if you got hurt at work..and if the person says yes, they will not work on them.. because, most of the time, workmans comp will not pay for the doc of your chosing, and prefer you go to a doc of thier choosing.. so I would call his work, let them know that he was hurt on the job, ask where should he go, if they have a prefered doc, and go there.. or some workman's comps will not pay your docs bills because you didn't follow the rules. Just a small bit of advice :)

thank you all so much he is going to the Dr this am :D he did not fall but he bumped his knee under a house at work. and his comp has privet insurance because it is family owned and operated by family only. he has blue cross. so he is going to the dr this am. :D :D :D :D YOU ALL ARE GREAT

butch is doing better the vet has him on a special diet. and on iron drops because his iron leval is still low. but he is so much better I will take another pic later to day and show you all how much better he looks.
