View Full Version : Amazon price dropped after I ordered!!!!

I ordered Windows XP from Amazon for 189.99 yesterday. This afternoon my order was ready to be shipped soon. Tonight I checked the Amazon site and saw they lowered the price to 169.99!!!!

My order is in shipping status so therefore I could not cancel and order again. If I could of waited 1 more day I would of saved 20 bucks. argh!!!!

Does anyone know if Amazon will do price adjustments?

Yes they will, I've done it many times. 1-800-201-7575. :)

If you ordered from Amazon, then YES! they will CR the difference back to your CC, etc., as long as it's within 30 days of your order.The order has to be with Amazon & not thru another of the stores at their site(such as Target). I've received many refunds back to my CC b/c of Amazon lowering their prices!

Just call their customer service & tell them product & they'll take care of it!

I sent them an email and they said they will credit back my credit card. How long does it take for them to issue the credit?

They've always been really quick...seems maybe a cple of days...but I've always called & they put it in the puter while you're on the phone. Also, at Amazon if you look under your acct. at recent orders & view it, there should be a note saying you received a CR. HTH's.

In my order page it says

Refunds

December 31, 1969 Original payment method: Credit Card $20.00

It was updated there the same day I received the email from Amazon about it.

The money hasn't been credited or posted to my CC yet so im wondering if it will take a few days before Amazon will give up the funds or is the credit is immediate as soon as the rep puts it in

The date says December 31, 1969 which is weird.

That is strange. They usually credit it within a day or two, but they say to allow 30 days.
