What do you do if you need to block someone's number from calling you?
Is there something you can put in when they call like *69 or something? TIA

*69 is call return, what you want is *60

I'll have to try that

now what if you say you want to "un-block" that # later on?

what do you do for that?

What does the person hear on the phone if their number has been blocked?

I have digital phone through Comcast cable company. I have a book that tells what all the numbers are for. I will look and see what I can find.

Okay it's called "call screening" in my area. This is what it says to do in my book. To activate: Lift the handset, listen for a dial tone, and press *60. The main menu options will guide you to add, delete or review the numbers on your list. Press # then dial 01 then press # again if you'd like to add the last number that you called. To deactivate: Press *60.

The feature lets you select up to 12 numbers that will be automatically routed to a polite message indicating that you are not receiving calls at the time.

To answer your question Fireball it is free for me because it is part of the regular calling features that come with having digital phone service through Comcast. When I first switched over to digital phone it was AT&T Broadband at the time. I'm not sure if it is free for everyone or not.

they get a recording saying something to the effect that you "aren't accepting calls at this time"
