I take orders for infomercials by phone, and also use the internet and computer. People accidently call for Earthlink, or HSN or QVC, and I politely tell them they have the wrong number. I then get "well I dialed 1-800-whatever" and again, I politely tell them, sorry this isn't "whatever" and they get all huffy and hang up on me. What part of "THIS IS THE WRONG NUMBER" do you not understand?
I know, petty whine, but hey, I am bored tonight! :D

I ahve a deadbeat couples old phone number. A lady called the other night and ased for Margeret. I told her this is NOT Margerets number, I had my old number changed and this is the number they gave me. THEN she asked me to look up Margerets NEW number in the phone book for her. SHEESH!:rolleyes:

I dealt with rude people on a daily basis, when I worked for whirlpool corp. so I know how you feel. and when I do get a wrong number here at home for some reason the just don't get it. like YOU are just gonna automatically tranfer them to the correct number or something- lol

BTW I wanna know how to do your job, if you do it at home too! I would love to work from home.

Our number is close to the police stations number. So we get calls for them all the time.

I once call the hospital my 6 month old daughter had managed to tear open a cloth doll and eat some of the inside of it so I rushed to a phone booth after finally finding change, I called desperate, the man on the other end laughed at my being upset and calmed me down he talked to me just like a dr.. asking if these were those little round pellets strofoam thing I told him yes he told me to give her milk watch her closely for any sign of distress and make sure she was having bowel movements and then he said but just to make sure I'm right call a dr. and check, I know all of this because my grandaughter just did the same thing last week and thats what they told us, I said is this the hospital he said No honey You've dialed a wrong number and got my tv repair shop. I finally got a hold of a dr. and he told me the exact same thing. BTW do you get really weird crank calls about the products you take calls for?

I work from home. I got my job from this website: www.wahm.com When there, go to the bulletin boards. There are lots of jobs and at home business opportunities there. My job doesn't pay a lot, but I can do it while my kids are asleep and while my DH is home. It is a good second income. Be careful when applying for at home jobs or business opportunities: if you are required to send money, it is usually a scam. I will not pay someone for my job.

Yes, I get perverts calling and kids playing on the phone and people who obviously have no life either, pranking us. The perverts are a trip. We take orders for those stupid "Girls GOne wild" tapes.(I do not get a lot of those calls, thank GOd-I hate those tapes!)A guy calls in who thinks I am a Girl Gone wild, or that he has called Dial a Porn or something. I am sorely tempted to tell them I am a plus sized woman with stretch marks and a big ol' butt, but then they might like THAT too, so who knows? LOL!
