I'm up. I'm always up at this time of night. I'm so awake I'm doing laundry. LOL.

Xica
07-04-2003, 12:22 AM
May I send you my laundry? It's just a few things. :D

MelanieAnn
07-04-2003, 12:23 AM
LOL!

Oh darn you reminded me. I was going to change my sheets and do another load of laundry, and mop the kitchen/bathroom floors. Hmm, maybe I should put it off 'til tomorrow.

Bohemut
07-04-2003, 12:23 AM
Uh....no thanks, I have enough of my own. I'm on load two of four. And that's without the boys' (my dogs) stuff. Got to wash their stuff at least once a week.

:) There is nothing wrong with being on-line. I am on-line umm all the time! Just about, lol. Either I am up late while hubby works, or up late waiting for hubby to get home, like now. He is at his brother's playing computer games... he should be back around 6am, lol.

My House is Clean until My Kids Get up

Xica
07-04-2003, 12:26 AM
I'd do laundry if it weren't so dark near the laundry room. I think I'll stay up cleaning. sshhh, we just got back from Krispy Kreme. I'm not a big KK fan, but there aren't any other doughnut shops open now. At least they were piping hot, we had to wait while the lady took the doughnuts from the "assembly line." Anyway, drank coffee with that. I'm so bad. I'm staying out of the Diet and Exercise Thread for a while. :p

MelanieAnn
07-04-2003, 12:27 AM
Mmmmmm donuts.... :D

<drool>

Hmmm... maybe I should get dressed and go get donuts!

Bohemut
07-04-2003, 12:29 AM
WAH! I wanna Krispy Kreme. I've never had one. And coffee does sound good right about now...

It's dark in my laundry room too...but that's just until I turn on the light. LOL. Too bad I can't use that as an excuse! DH is kinda running out of shorts (outerwear) to wear so I gotta get it done. Sigh.

Xica
07-04-2003, 12:30 AM
LMAO! No, they're not good for you! Don't do it. I'll eat another on your behalf. :D

MelanieAnn
07-04-2003, 12:30 AM
I had Krispy Kreme for the first time last year. It is not all that it's cracked up to me. I miss Dunkin' Donuts. I haven't had Dunkin' Donuts in over 5 years. :( They just opened one in Sacramento, but I still can't convince my hubby that we should drive there just to get donuts. :) LOL, I probably would do it, too.

Bohemut
07-04-2003, 12:32 AM
We don't have any donut places around here anymore. I feel so left out! I'll just have to go to that new bakery on Saturday. They have the best cream horns, bismarks and chocolate eclairs. Yum.

MelanieAnn
07-04-2003, 12:34 AM
Darn it, I am actually considering cleaning. If I don't go clean I will probably sit here and eat. I might never stop! :) Thanks guys, time for me to step away from the computer and get a little bit of work done.

Might be back soon. :D

Xica
07-04-2003, 12:34 AM
I think a drive from Bakersfield to Sac for a doughnut is CAARAZAY!! Is that the only DD in the state?
I agree with you about KK, they're good but not as good as some claim. They're definitely not the best I've ever had. They're good enough on late nights, though. :)

MelanieAnn
07-04-2003, 12:36 AM
That I could find on their website, yes. Believe me I have looked. :) I grew up in Pennsylvania, and moved here 5 years ago. Since then I have yet to have one. I have even begged my brother to overnight some donuts to me. He refues to. :( How rude! LOL

But like I said I am going. Really. :)

I shouldn't be up,but here i am,painting my nails and suddenly craving donuts:P OMG and I just saw the eclairs mentioned.I told my hubby to get fruit in the morning:D maybe I will change that order.

Xica

07-04-2003, 12:38 AM
I've been eating while I sat here too. But I was good. I had some blueberries. And a diet Dr. Pepper. :D

Still want those donuts though!!!!!!!!!!!

Xica
07-04-2003, 12:40 AM
bohemut, at least you didn't have a huge meal with a diet drink. :p I don't think that evens it out. lol

WELCOME, MERRY!! :D

Bohemut
07-04-2003, 12:43 AM
Ah, but I've been known to do that. I just don't like sugared pop anymore. BUT I have never ordered a big meal and really heavy dessert and had diet pop. That's when I drink coffee and water. LOL.

Actually I'm trying to be good--I need to start losing weight again. So it's lots of salads and fruit. That doesn't mean I don't still want those donuts though!

What's up With all the Ifomercials (Sp) On late night Tv ?? I cant A thing to watch on tv.

Xica
07-04-2003, 12:46 AM
There's nothing wrong with giving in to a craving every now and then. If you don't, you're going to feel deprived and will probably pig out when you DO have that food.

Bohemut
07-04-2003, 12:47 AM
I know. But not just yet. I've got to get my body reset to the "dieting mode" before I endulge. Otherwise endulge won't be the word for it. I don't know what you'd call it, but it wouldn't be a pretty sight!

Xica
07-04-2003, 12:51 AM
LOL I hear ya! Once I got into "diet mode" that I totally laid off fast food and restaurant food in general. Just three months later, I caved and ate restaurant food and got sick. I got sick after eating anything not made at home after that. I then decided it was best to get back into "junk mode." :D

Remember to use light dressing on salads and put plenty of veggies in it. :)

I think a nice big fruit salad witha donut or two in it would be great for breakfast.Butt I am trying to lose about 50 so I will prob just have a nanner.

Any plans for the 4th ? Only Plans I Have is to be LAZY ;)

Xica
07-04-2003, 12:55 AM
A salad with a donut inside? Now that's a new one, but something I'm willing to try. :D If you get a donut with raspberry filling, the fruit filling counts as a serving of fruit, right? Right? Shouldn't it? :p

Bohemut
07-04-2003, 12:56 AM
I have to be really careful on the salad dressings. I have to weigh the fat grams vs. carbohydrate grams (I'm diabetic). So I usually don't go fat free because the carbs are so high. But I've found a few that work well. Otherwise I make my own dressing--a little oil, more vinegar, spices and lots of garlic. Or I just eat raw veggies without anything.

My biggest problems are that I have a super-large sweet tooth (very bad for a diabetic) and I'm a stress eater. So now when I'm stressed I have to eat celery. Yuck. Carrots are too high in sugar to eat as stress relief. Sigh.

Nascar, I plan on going shopping tomorrow for exercise clothes. I need new running gear. Then we'll head on down to the park for fireworks in the evening. Maybe support the community by eating at their food stands. :D

Xica
07-04-2003, 12:58 AM
bohemut, that sucks. :(

I didn't know carrots were high in sugar. Well you learn something new every day. Do you have a recipe for your homemade dressing or just throw things together? I want to start making my own, but don't know where to begin.

Bohemut
07-04-2003, 12:58 AM
We're not doing anything. Except grilling some steaks and watching a DVD. And then, we get to try to calm down four very excitable dachshunds when the neighborhood does the home fireworks thing. Gonna be some fun. LOL.

I know what you mean about the dogs and Fireworks I Have a Chihushua (Sp) And she goes Crazy When the fireworks Start ..

Xica
07-04-2003, 01:04 AM
You too, Merry! :D

Bohemut
07-04-2003, 01:06 AM
Xica I usually start off with 2 tablespoons of oil (prefer olive) and 4 or more tablespoons of vinegar. Then I toss is whatever spices I feel like. It depends on the lettuce/veggies I'm using in the salad. For a sweeter dressing I use some Sweet and Low instead of sugar or honey. I've made some okay oriental dressing using non-fat mayo and Sweet and Low in place of the honey (but it is really so much better with the real stuff!).

But if I want anything fancy, like blue cheese, I just buy it. But I do watch the labels very carefully.

MelanieAnn
07-04-2003, 01:14 AM
I'm baaa-ack! Hahahaha... I mopped, I put laundry away, I changed sheets, and started a load of laundry. And I actually vacuumed yesterday! My hubby probably thinks I got a brain transplant. :D

We are going to my mom's with the kids tomorrow so they can go in her "little" pool in the afternoon. Then going to the in-laws to have BBQ and do the fireworks thing. Hopefully this year will be better than last year. Last year I got pulled over on the way to Blockbuster, lol. Darn cops making me go to court and waste my time, how rude.

Xica
07-04-2003, 01:15 AM
oh ok, thanks. :) I think I'll give it a try once I get around to buying vinegar.

Bohemut
07-04-2003, 01:26 AM
LOL. I buy vinegar by the gallon--I use it in my laundry too. I also have basalmic vinegar (makes weird tasting dressing though) and I have flavored vinegar in the past. Couldn't live with out the stuff.

Well I've got to go get something constructive done. Only one more load of laundry to wash--Yay!
