View Full Version : What to buy the mother of my children?
You read right, I don't know what to buy the mother of my children for her birthday. No, I'm not a man! :p No, she doesn't have custody of my kids. :p No, she's not a surrogate. :p I'm talking about my sister who has daughters who I swear must somehow be mine because they look so much like me. Not only that, they act like me, too! What's even scarier is that I see them once every 3 or 4 months.
So anyway, her birthday's coming up and I need some ideas. She has allergies, so perfume's out. She lives in the middle of nowhere, no spas nearby.
Help!

Make her a basket of some beauty items that she could use to have her own little spa at home.
Get a sitter for the kids and take her out to a movie & dinner. I'm sure she would like to get away for a while.
Get her a gift certificate to a store near by so she can get herself an outfit or other things that she may need.
Thats all I can think of, for now. lol

You had me completely confused! I thought you were a woman. :D
I don't know but Tasha has some good ideas.
I've given her a beauty basket before, with some of my stockpile freebies plus a GC. I do like the idea of giving her a gc to buy an outfit. Now that's she's working out more, she's probably going to lose weight and will need some new clothes. Thanks Tasha! :)

how bout a matching gown/robe/slipper set?? either practical or sexy, which ever she would prefer
or a mothers ring - walmart has some beautiful ones that are pretty reasonable.
if she's working out more, maybe a membership to a gym or make a couple of her payments if she already has one??
sorry i suck at this, lol
{{KML}} you don't suck at it. LOL I do, I'm the one asking for help! I think you have some good ideas. :) The gym thing won't work, though. There's only one in her small town and she says she wouldn't go there because it's so small.
You know what? I like the gown/slipper set idea. :) Or maybe some comfy jammies. hmm, I better hurry. I only have a few more days.

Man, I've been up way too long! When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought it said, "Want to buy the mother of my children?"
Yep, it's way past my bedtime.
Maybe you can make up a book of "gift certificates" for things you can do for her. Like washing her car, putting in time helping her with housework, taking her out to dinner (or cooking dinner for her), babysitting time, and other things like that.
