Just heard on the news Gregory Peck has died in Hollywood
David Brinkley a news caster on ABC for many years has also passed
Gregory Peck has always been one of my favoirte actors, I knew he was old, and he was ill. He will be missed!!!

I just heard about this on CNN. I loved Gregory Peck and To Kill a Mockingbird. Its one of my all time favorites. He was 87 and apparently he died over night.

June 12 - Gregory Peck, the lanky, handsome movie star whose career included such classics as "Roman Holiday," Spellbound," and his Academy Award winner, "To Kill a Mockingbird," has died a spokesman said Thursday. He was 87.

Peck died overnight, Monroe Friedman said.

Peck's craggy good looks, grace and measured speech contributed to his screen image as the decent, corageous man of action. According to the Internet Movie Database, Peck was studying pre-med at Berkely when he was bitten by the acting bug and changed careers. Shortly after college graduation, he debuted on Broadway, next moving to Hollywood.

From his film debut in 19944 with "Days of Glory," he was less than a star. He was nominated for an Oscar five times, and his range of roles was astonishing....

Peck died at his Los Angeles home overnight, with his wife, Veronque, at his side, Friedman said.
