Is Landry's restaurant still in business?? We took a day trip to ***** Island to visit the Tabasco plant a few years ago and had the (dubious) pleasure of eating at a Landry's. It was a buffet and 90% of the food was breaded & deep fat fried. As long as I live I will never forget the breaded, fried corn on the cob!!! I have never seen it since. As I recall the only non-fried food was a gumbo and some crawfish etouffe.

How totally gross ... reminds me of the cholestrol bombs I have to eat when I go to our head office in Georgia ... everything is fried and dripping in grease! Even in their so-called fine restaurants.

As my son says "would you like some deep-fried deep-fried with your fries?"

Yes, Landry's is still open at A-v-e-r-y Island as far as I know.

Have you tried the Fried Snickers or the Fried Twinkies ? ;)

yum - Black Eyed Pea restaurants serve fried corn on the cob - it's really good, lol! I'm not a big fan of seafood, but fried corn ont he cob is yummy;)

I guess there's only triple star fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine dining where you are.

I have three small kids; I consider it Fine Dining when the silverware isn't plastic and the entree doesn't come wrapped in paper !



Is Landry's the place where they throw biscuits at you? :eek:

Nope ... we have a LOT of bad places to eat too ... I just avoid them whenever I can ... I'm a bit of a health nut!
