We have a family down the street who the parents NEVER watch their kids when they are outside. AND the kids do not have any toys! They are always at our house playing with my ds and his toys. They have even come over and taken his stuff out when we werent even home! They are constantly breaking my sons toys. The 7yr old broke off the pedal to ds new bike. The dad comes down and says "the pedal fell of-here ya go!" and proceeds to dump in on my front lawn and walk away. I was too flabergasted to say anything. Well now we cant get it to stay on and I had to throw out the big wheel and a scooter because these kids have ruined them. My son does try to take care of his toys and I cant afford to buy him new items to replace the ones they broke. I am always out side watching them. I see the kids and how they just throw the toys around. My ds doesnt want me to talk to the parents because he is afraid the kids wont play with him anymore. But I have had it. The next time something gets broken it is going to land in their yard!!!!!!!!

This is the same family that sent the kids to ds bday party last year without a gift!

Well the gift thing is a personal issue. I'm not sure I'd be mad about that but I'd be mad as hell about the toys. Why does your son want to play with children who have no respect for his things? I would raise hell with the parents and tell the kids they can't come over anymore. I would also explain to your son that those aren't really friends because friends would never be that disrespectful.

I'm sorry this is happening....that's just awful

Sounds like you have neighbors just like mine. Our neighbor kid is 4 yrs old and he took my daughters bike and was headed up the road with it. I caught him and he ditched her bike at the side of the road. He then took his cousins bike and went to the other neighbors house, stole her grandsons bike and left his cousins and took off about 1/2 mile up the road. His grandmother had no clue where he was and asked my daughter if she had seen him. It not the first time this brat has done this, it is becoming an everyday thing now.

yes the kid lives with his grandmother. his mom get visitation every sunday and his dad is either in jail or rehab, not sure which one. i did go over and talk to the grandmother about his taking my daughters bike, and she just kinda laughed about, until i told her it was not funny and she better do something about it now. she doesnt let him out by himself anymore, so we will see what happens.
