They were able to get me in today-doc has major surgery going for tomorrow.
I have adhesions that are connected to the ovary, and polyps in the uterus. They will have to do a laparoscopy to see everything that needs done, cutting the adhesions away, probably taking out the uterus and I told him while I will be open-might as well tie the tubes.;)
Bad news-no sex, no walking, no "strength or endurance" activites, oh and I love this one...(NOT! )"Try to limit arousal"..yeah, ok.
Good news-surgery will be about 3 hours, one night over night. About two weeks recovery all together I think that is what he said.
I have to take a med to thicken my blood and get the rest of the Kolonopin out of my system. I see him again in 2 weeks. Surgery is scheduled for the first week in July (after the 4th and before nmy birthday).
I am still worried about the hormone therapy, if I need everything out. But like the doc said-that would come sooner or later anyway. Never thought of it that way.
Thanks for everyone's concern. I will keep posting.

Good luck with your surgery. Good wishes sent for a speedy recovery!
I just have one stupid question though...if you're going to have a hysterectomy (I've also had one), why would you need to get your tubes tied? Seems kind of silly to bother with that when you won't have a uterus anymore so you won't be able to get pregnant! :)
{{{LT}}} Let us know you're ok as soon as you can. :)

Sorry about your problems, the best news is that they've found the problem. If they just take the utureus (sp) they call it a partial hysterometry. I had mine removed over 20 years ago.
With no utureus, just think, no more need for those fancy mancy kotex you used before. No utureus no monthly. It could throw you into hot flahes also.
Let us know, keep us posted!!!

I've been taking HRT for about three months now and it's been great. I'm perimenopausal and it has helped so much I wish I had done it sooner.
I'm glad they found out what's wrong. Now on with the surgery and let's put an end to all of this.

Unless your ovaries are really scarred, why remove them?
My Mom had a partial hysterectomy when she was 27. She's now 60 and still has her ovaries. She had really bad female troubles all her life. They wanted to do a total hysterectomy on her when she was 13!
Can you imagine how scared she was, no wonder she doesn't trust doctors. Anywho, she went through menopause at about the normal age and still has her ovaries.
There's a simple blood test to check for ovarian cancer.
Take the test yearly if you feel you need to.
Doctors can also examine your ovaries with ultrasound or just by hand (I know you did not need to hear that LOL)
If you keep your ovaries, there will be no need for hormone therapy!
It's something to really discuss with your doctor and your family.
BUT remember, it's your body. Not your doctor or your family's ;)
I'll send some positive energies your way.
Blessed Be!

I forgot to mention the "arousal" issue. It won't be much of a problem if you keep your ovaries. You uterus does produce different hormones but the main production comes from your ovaries ;)
Even if you do have a complete hysterectomy, you can't possibly get aroused with all the pain your in right now, so you'll be no worse off, you'll BOTH just have to work a little harder to get aroused.
Blessed be!
