Why do men NEVER put the toilet seat back down? You'd think that someone who grew up with 3 sisters and his mother would put the seat down. Or did I get confused somewhere along the way?

I am very well trained to put it down.

But I have wondered from time to time why women don't leave it up for me when THEY are finished???

Just a fantasy I guess.

well at least yours puts up the seat when he goes..... I normally have to sit in gross you know what if I accidently didn't look and forgot to whipe the seat. I would gladly put it down rather then have to take whole new showers at times because the seat is so wet! not to mention that I think he forgot to clean after himself the right way after going number 2 and getting it all over the seat as well! ya think after 10 years of being in the navy and growing up with 4 sisters and a ma that he could clean himself right..... sorry for the grossness but I understand what you are going through!

Sometimes I wonder if mine is doing the hula while he's going about his business!

Note to the men: WRITING YOUR NAME ONLY WORKS IN THE SNOW!!

I really thought that little boys were taught this....You would also think that they could put their dirty clothes in the hamper too. I think the last time I checked he had arms and legs.....I just walked into the suprise on the way to the potty!

My 5 year old has been potty trained since he was 3. His new trick however is peeing everywhere but in the toilet. If the seat is down he pees all over the seat but not through the hole. He put the plug in the tub last week and then peed in there. THEN he also peed in the trashcan that sits right next to the toilet. Hubby go that mess since the dog knocked the trashcan over and is was all over the floor.
My Hubby and 8 yo miss once in awhile but not like that little one.

now that I think of it.... my 5 year old is much more cleaner then the hubby is! I don't have to whipe the seat half as often for him as I do the hubby. I wonder if there is a classs somwhere where we can send our men to to teach the fine points of going to the bathroom without leaving a mess??? anyone know so I can enrole my hubby?

LOL! I walked into my kitchen one morning after stepping in pee and announced to my husband and 2 stepsons: "I do not have a penis, so I pee sitting down. Therefore, I know it was not ME who peed on the floor!"
I was met by gaping mouths and speechlessness. But, since then, I have not stepped in pee!
At least they all put the seat down!

:D :D :D

i dont really have any complaints about my boyfriend not putting the seat down... heck he fusses at me when I dont put the cover back down when I am finished :D BUT he could use a little training in the whole "stepping up to the plate" idea. I just rant and rave when I step in pee just because he didn't step up close enuf!!!

this is a funny thread. :D

I have a husband and 4 sons, so I am the ONLY female in the house, I just deal with it and put it down myself, no since trying to change them and their inborn habits! :D

We are trying to have kids, and I really don't want my child, (if it's ever a boy) to learn habits like that. It's bad enough that we live in the country. DH just whips it out a pees where ever. I personally think thats gross.....I'm a city in the country!!!!!

I was soooooooooooooooooo TIRED of Aggie leaving the seat up!!!! He has 4 brothers and I could understand the seat thing.

One night he got up and went in there to do his thing.................Well, there's was plastic wrap all over the seat. I'd left the seat up and put the wrap around the bowl.

Needless to say he had a mess to clean up, wasn't happy and FROM THAT DAY ON HAS ALWAYS PUT THE SEAT DOWN.

He still harrasses me about that to this day. Broke him of the habit in less than 24 hours....................LOL

 :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

Very early in our relationship, I had my husband 'trained' to leave the seat down. :p

I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE SEAT BEING LEFT UP.

ITS EASIER TO PUT IT DOWN, THAN IT IS TO ARGUE
OR GET MAD ABOUT IT. FOR MEN ITS NORMAL TO LEAVE IT UP,
FOR US WOMEN ITS NORMAL TO HAVE IT DOWN.

WHEN YOU LIVE WITH SOMEONE OF THE OPPOSITE SEX,

JUST UNDERSTAND THAT.
WHY WASTE THE ENERYGY ON LETTING A TOILET SEAT ANNOY YOU ?

NOW IF THE SEAT WAS WET, OR THERE WERE PUDDLES, OK
THEN I'D BE MAD.
