Does it bother anyone else on here when you see a post in the freebie forum for a free item, when it's not really meant to be free to start with?
You are suppose to make a donation to help Paralyzed Veterans or a children's Indian school.
If everyone sends for these free labels and don't send in a donation it will take all their funds just to make them and that defeats the whole purpose.
I hope the rest of you will pass these over like I did unless you fully intend on making a donation. Posting things like this on a freebie board could really mess up a good organization, that does good for people in need.

I, myself, don't do it if there's a donation unless I can donate at the time.

I almost didn't notice what it was for. I seen the word "Free" and clicked on it. I started to fill out the form when I seen the word donation and checked it out. Then changed my mind.
It's not that I would mind sending in a donation. I think 3 to 5 dollars should be expected for them. But I don't want to start getting request all the time. It makes me feel guilty when I throw away the donation request. Then they will start calling wanting money. That's what happen when I did the feed the children one time. I barely could make my bills, much less put food on my own table and the commercials made me feel so guilty that I sent money every month for over 2 years to help. I finally learned to turn the TV off when that stuff came on. They shouldn't pick on poor people begging for money. The celebrities that make the commercials should be picking on their rich friends that have watches worth more than all my personal belongings combined would be worth. Those are the people that have the money to give, not me.
Well anyway I got side tracked again. But I wish the person that started the thread would at least put at the top of her post what it is for so people don't just think it's a freebie.

Having just moved, I needed some address labels, so I ordered these. I will send a donation. However...when I receive unsolicited address labels in the mail...I do not send a donation! I find it very annoying for these various organizations to mail things I didn't ask for to my home and then expect me to make a donation. JMHO...

Well actually they just automatically send labels to me. I just look up in the mail and I have a whole stack of them. Go figure. I have never signed up for the labels either. I do donate to other organizations so maybe my name is being sold or something. Who knows? All I know is that i keep recieving all these labels in the mail.

I DON'T SIGN UP FOR 'FREEBIES' FROM ORGANIZATONS
LOOKING FOR DONATIONS. I DON'T FEEL RIGHT IN TAKING
SOMETHING FROM THEM. IT DOES ANNOY ME TO CLICK ON A 'FREEBIE'
& THEN SEE THE WORD DONATION. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE
IN THE SUBJECT LINE "FREEBIE W/ DONATION"
I ALSO PASS ON THE BUSINESS FREEBIES TOO.
* DON'T GET ME WRONG, ITS NOT THAT THEY ARE ASKIN FOR A DONATION
THAT ANNOYS ME, WHAT ANNOYS ME IS PEOPLE WHO TAKE
ADVANTAGE OF THE FREEBIES & DON'T DONATE.
