Went To Er Today...no Heartbeat Found On My Baby

I am really freaking out tonight. I went to the ER because I kept having pain/contractions since yesterday and my dr. said to go and have it checked out. I went and they used a doppler. No heartbeat and he searched all over my stomach...pressing and poking. No bleeding or anything...but I am kind of trying to prepare myself. I go in to my Dr. on Monday to have an ultrasound done and for a hopefully positive diagnosis. Please keep me and my itty bitty in your prayers. I lost my first baby...I can't lose this one. It's my third pregnancy...nothing like this has ever happened before though. Please, say some prayers.

wishing you the best.... and try to go to labor and delivery and they will do an ultrsound for ya. I had many problems with my pregnancies. With my last I went into labor at 6 months and they gave me some meds and thankfully it stopped. You shouldn't be made to wait though that can be so much more stressful. again try labor and delivery. good luck!

2 weeks ago my sons gf started spotting, she went to the doc and he couldn't find a heartbeat, she went in for an utrasound the next day and the baby was fine.

After I had my miscarriage back in 2000 and I got pregnant again they couldn't find Vyctoria heartbeat. They may do extra bllod tests to verify hormone levels. If you have a bit of a baby belly you may want to hold it back when they try again. That's what worked with Vyctoria until I was about 18 weeks.

{{{{{sandytrap}}}}} Sometimes they have problems finding the heartbeat this early. I hope that is the reason and will keep you in my prayers. Or maybe they could be wrong about your due date? Did they figure it out by ultra sound? Get as much rest as you can! It is hard when you have a child already at home, but I hope that you can get some rest.

sandy...when I went for my first exam after learning I was pregnant,my doc could'nt find my baby's heartbeat.It scared me to death! He ordered an ultrasound and all turned out well.Sometimes they just have trouble finding the heartbeat.I hope it turns out well for you and little one.(((((HUGS & PRAYERS)))))
