I have a fracture in my foot. I am hurting

hey everyone at BBS,
I have to whine. Wends morning I ended up in the emergency room. Somehow I managed to miss two steps on a flight of stairs. Yeap you guess it. I got Idiot of the mth award. You could hear it crack. I didn't want anyone to get stuck in the emergency room all night so I toughed it out till wends morning. Yeah I have a hairline fracture across on my left foot. It might be small but, it hurts. I have to use crutches for 6wks. Have to keep it up for 5-7 days and I have no friends that live here. They all live in Atlanta or Rome. I feel like dirt. My shower is a bath/shower combo which at this moment sucks!! I hurt right now. It is just a dull hurt right now but, it is so swollen. Forget skiing memorial day weekend. that isn't going to happen.

Just keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks for letting me whine.

(((((((mlayton1994))))))) So sorry. Do what the doctor says and keep it up. You don't want to end up like my 9 year old who has been in her cast for 7 weeks and looks like she is going to be in one for another 6 to 7 weeks.

Ouch!! I stepped wrong coming down the steps Wednesday afternoon. I have a really nasty sprain but thankfully no fracture.
You poor thing!! I hope you feel better soon!! Just stay off it and do everything the DR says. I know how hard that is with the lives we all lead but you have to try.

I know how painful that is,I broke my foot and tore some muscles in my ankle at christmas. If you can, ask your doctor for a walking cast.It was much easier than crutches and safer!!!Hope you feel better soon!!

Thanks for the advise but, I am allergic to the casting material. Right now I have one of those casts that you can take on and off so I have to be extremely careful. Had a rough night. Didn't get to sleep till 3AM and I am already up. I have two cats so they have been running under me which caused me to lay pressure on my foot that is hurt. I love the cats but, right now I get nervous when they get under me.

Ok I'm goina have to come save ya lol. Give me an address and directions to where I'm going from Macon and I'll be up sometime this weekend to visit. With my big car maybe we can go shopping too. Hope ya get better soon.

thank you guys so much. I am on my way to the restroom. Ok i am hobbling to the restroom. The crutches have made me sore and my rearend is sore from where I have landed on it a few times. Haven't 100% got use to the crutches.

{{{Merriann}} I broke my foot & ankle almost 8 weeks ago & I am still in pain. I can relate totally to what you mean about the crutches. I still can not get used to mine.
