It's My Birthday and NOBODY REMEMBERED!!!

Ok here is my Vent/Whine.......Today is my bday and I turned the big 34 :( and not a person in my family (not even my mother) REMEMBERED!!! I am a little down today...I help everybody in my family when they need help.....I remember there bdays and call them at least if not in person to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I guess its just not an important day for my MOTHER and Father and Sisters??? Oh well I'll hush up whining for today I guess. Hope you all are having a better day than me!! (do I sound like a 5 year old or what??...lol)

I know how you feel, when I turned 17 (that was YEARS ago) not one single person said happy birthday to me, I went all day and didnt say anything, my family and I had dinner like it was an ordinary day, and then we all sat down to watch T.V. and then after that I stood up and said "well I am going to bed or by the way thanks sooooo for saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me today! " I then went to my room. I almost laughed cuz my mom and dad got into it cuz neither one of them remembered, so the next day my mom took me out shopping and let me choose whatever I wanted and didnt whine about the price or if I was getting too much. I will never forget that! It hurts, just to think that the woman who gave birth to you doesnt even remember...

But anyways

I know how you feel. March 28th I turned 35. A month before I had my gallbladder out and was really sick. Hubby asks me a few days after surgery what I wanted for my birthday. Somehow the suggestion
of a party come up. I made the comment that since my birthday was always ignored no one would come to a party. He said "You don't know that". So I said "Prove it!!". Did I get a party? No. Did anyone remember it was my birthday? No. The evening of my birthday I ripped him a new one. Reminded him of the conversation the month before and the fact that he still didn't do anything. So the night after my birthday 2 friends I grew up with took me to dinner and a movie. We do that for each others birthdays and is usually the only recognition I get. When I came home that night he handed me a wrapped present and walked away. I accepted it and his apology. It does still hurt though that he can't remember ANYTHING without being told every 5 minutes. Someday they will realize how much something hurts.

Take the suggestion earlier. You need to go shopping tomorrow and buy whatever YOU need. Nothing for anyone else. Just enjoy a belated birthday gift to your self.

You know it is free ice cream night at Baskin and Robbins. See they remembered your birthday! Go get yourself a free ice cream (it helps a good charity)!

Aggie's birthday is New Year's Eve and I always make it a point to do something special since it's a "party time" anyway.

Does he remember mine??? HELL NO. Funny thing is mine is on Memorial Day when you celebrate vets. He's a vet and was in the military for 20 plus years. How easy could that be?? Not for him:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

I would go shopping tomorrow and buy whatever I wanted. NO MATTER WHAT THE PRICE, WHERE YOU GO, WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO GET IT. I usually wind up purchasing my own gift anyway. Would be really nice to get something from Aggie that he chose and I didn't already know about it.

I know what it is like when NO ONE knows its your b-day. My family forgot when I turned 12. My brothers b-day is only 2 days before mine, and they remembered his. They did remember though, when it was our bed time.
