A dear friend of mine that I have known for 10 years was shipped to Kuwait last Wednesday. He just called me today and told me that sometime in the next few weeks he will be moving into Baghdad. I just hope that he will be safe!

I have a friend who has been their for 8 months hope he comes home soon.

my friend is on a ship and FINALLY on his way home. He has been in that area for many months. It will take about a month to get to san diego though. it is a long time in coming.

Oh on a different note my hubby got a coin like thing (he did not ship out there though) saying operation enduring freedom and on the other side it says 11 september 2001, NYC DC PA and it is really nice with pictures of NYC and the pentagon and a pic of the united states. I think they are giving it to everyone in the service. It was like when I got a ribbon comming out of bootcamp because there was a conflict going on in 94. Has anyone else gotten this?

ginna74 my friend is also based in san diego his ship is not comming home yet he has been their for 8 months now he was has been over scienc sept.

My friend is in the 101st airborne (same one from the news where the guy tossed the grenade into the tent!). We haven't heard anything from him since before the war started. I'm for freedom as much as anyone, but I am still scared for the fate of this great nation and the safety of all our loved ones. All I can do is send him cards/letters/ and a care package from time to time. I sure hope he gets them!

I think he was supposed to be comming home about 1 month before the war started. He is on the milius. Maybe they are in the same battle group?

ginna74 my friend is also on the milius DDG-69 wow this is so so weired I wounder if it is the same person. what is your friends name if I may ask.

My brother came home yesterday. He was in Jordan serving the planes. Once the bombing stopped Jordan wanted them out of there.
He said if he was anywhere different he'd still be there. When he was in Desert Storm he was gone for a much longer time. At least troops are starting to come home.
