Just My Obsevations.......

Typing on this board and ejoying myself as i have i have noticed how hard it is to type what i want to say versus thinking it out before i type it so i dont make anyone mad.. Both are hard to do cause i want to have fun and i dont want to hurt someone or make them mad. Life as i know it is about friends and friendship and there are so many out there who could care less about me that i have to go out and build my friendships. and belive me if im gonna take the time to build them then im not going to tear them down. Then to top it all off when someone is mad and trying to vent then they type as they think and not as they should think logically. Get mad and see how you act....then try to type it......I guess what im saying being the newcomer......*******.....whatever is seen fit to call me.....i will always offer my opinion and it will not always be right or wrong, but it will be in a way that i think is either helpful or humerous to make the day a little brighter...to all who are my friends, to all who dont know they are my friends and to those i have not met yet to make my friends.......i wanna say SMILE.......Life gets pretty nasty without FRIENDSHIP and HAPPINESS.

Thank you for sharing, Tsquared. You made some good points. It is very hard to say what you mean sometimes, I know. And I usually don't type when I'm too mad, and I always try to be so extra careful not to offend, it really is hard sometimes. A lot of times I have something to say but I refrain because I don't want to say something wrong. It's weird because when I talk I am pretty articulate, I can usually say what I mean and do a good job of it, but when I type it, everything comes out sounding so stupid LOL! Most of the time it is because I'm in a hurry, other times it is because I am exhausted. I'm just saying I think I know what you mean.

Who knew such a nice looking guy could be so deep?

The great thing about bbs is that there are people here of all different races, religions, ages, different lifestyles, backgrounds, etc. etc.. and we all come here together as FRIENDS to laugh, cry, and support each other.

I don’t think anyone sets out to try to offend anyone else, but it is bound to happen in such a diverse group. We all need to try to be more tolerant and understanding towards each other.

This is true...one thing I have always kept in mind, is that you cannot take thinks too literal when reading a post. It is very difficult to determine exactly how someone is "speaking." We cannot hear the inflection in their words, so what one person might take as an insult, another may not. We all interpret the words we see and "hear" them differently. That is why I do not ever get upset when reading something, because I cannot be 100% sure how a person meant to say it. Were they being sarcastic, humorous, etc... I do realize that their are times when someone is being blatantly rude, but hopefully you understand what I am trying to say...:) That is if I am making any sense...LOL...

I so agree with you eeigh33. Sometimes I have written something and have been shocked to find it has upset someone when I never intended it to be a slam, ya know? You really can't take anything too seriously around here. The people who do, ruin it for the others. You need a sense of humor.

I think the worse is the ones who report to the mods all the time when something upsets them. If something is just a discussion and not racist or porn why get bent out of shape about it? I don't agree with some people in one thread but then think they are really sweet in another thread. Oh well, that's life. It's not like we are going to solve life's problems here so why not lighten up and just enjoy things and ignore the others things you don't agree with?

Hmmm. I pretty much say what I think, and if people want to attack me, I am more than willing to give them my e-mail or something so it stays off the boards. Oddly enough, no one has ever flamed me, or been upset at me. But then again. I rarely say anything much. Usually, I don't have anything to say, or I am just being anti-social. :p

I agree with you. I hope I've never offened anyone, but sometimes I feel like what I've typed didn't come out like it should have. I wish BBS had something on it so everyone that replies can say it in a microphone and whoever reads it can plug in something and hear how the person said it. Does that make sense? See, there is something I just wrote that didn't come out like I wanted it too! lol!
