Stupid People @ BBS!

Okay, I have been thinking about this for a few days now- trying to decide if I should even mention it, but I decided tonight that I should because basically I think it's crap the way a few people act around here. :eek:

I am not going to say who did this but if they are reading this thread will definitely KNOW who they are, no doubt in my mind that this person doesn't know what happened. I can't really give a lot of clues or everyone will know automatically know who it is. :rolleyes: Anyways, I have PM'd a few people here, and I thought that I had made a real friend. :rolleyes: So things go along and we hit it off, we start IM'ing. We start talking on a more personal level, and I give my honest opinion- basically the standard lifting this person up that we all do for people here. The more I think about it the more I think this person lied to me about SEVERAL things. I ultimately invited this person, along with a few others, to view my website... she registered, never purchased, no biggie. Suddenly she disappears, then she comes back along. So I'm okay with it, don't ask a lot of questions since she was coming more evasive. Then she disappears again, I think she's even stopped posting to BBS. So I am surfing along the 'Net and I get an AOL IM from said person... this is the conversation

Them: Hi! How are you?
Me: Fine, thanks.
Them: You don't have to be so rude.
Me: Sorry, didn't mean to be.
Them: Well, F*** You then.

Me: Okkkk, sorry you feel that way.
Them: Do you have a picture, online I mean?
Me: Nope.
Them: You're a F***ing C*** B****!!! I'm going come to your home and KICK YOUR ASS B****!
Me: Oh really?
Them: Yeah, really.
Me: Ok... well be sure to let me know when you're coming.
Them: F*** YOU!
Me: When? :rolleyes:
Them: You're a B****!
Me: Tell that to my Hubby.
Them: You're a F***ing C*** B****!
Me: This is the F***ing C*** B****'s Hubby...can I help you?
Them: Good bye.

Now, this is what I have to say... what the FARK did I ever do to you? And I notice you have not sinced emailed or IM'd me either- what's up with that, did you realize you're a Farking IDIOT?!

can i give you a hug instead..... i had a person pop up on my msn and my husband doesn't know much about messnger and they started to cuss me out because i wasn't responding.... he didn't even see it intill he disconnect from the interent...if i was home i would but i work every night.. this happen over a year ago..

First, I'm so sorry that this happened to you. No one should be treated like that! I don't know you, but it still makes me MAD! Second, it sounds like it might be someone's sick idea of a joke. Recently, I have been hearing about several people who had their messenger usernames hacked, and on several different messenger systems. People on their buddy list said they had received strange IMs from them, very rude/vicious, but didn't really sound like the friend. (If you can follow that, lol) {{{{HUGS}}}}

Could be it might be a hacker.. but then again why would she stop IMing or PMing you? Could you PM her and ask if it was her? Sorry that happened whether or not it was her it was still not very nice.

That is a shame and I am sorry it happened to you. I am always very careful of who I share information with on the internet - people are not always what they seem - they pose as what they want you to think they are. Use this as a learning experience and don't leave yourself open for idiots to hurt you. Not all are like this and most people you "meet" are genuine. But be careful of what you tell people.
I hope it's a one time thing and this person never bothers you again.

weird...sorry you had that happen to you. I was thinking that maybe it was not even the person. Maybe someone else also uses that computer and just was being stupid. Who knows.

Actually...this is what entered my mind. Since this conversation sounded out of character, I wondered if someone else was using your "friends" screenname.

Plus...if this person has had a lot of problems in her personal life...maybe the "problem" has been keeping her from the computer.

Yes, I am leaning towards this girl's problem being the one who got on the computer. I suspect that he saw some of our conversations and probably got angry and did lord knows what to her, and then got on the computer and said all that to me. I just hope she is ok, and if she can and is reading this maybe she will contact me here and explain what it was all about.

P.S. I am serious you are all more than welcome to PM me, I take a while to get back but I will.

Another thing to consider is something that happened to my DH and I 6 years ago before we knew so much about computer security. We traded an old computer into a local computer place for credit , and didn't know better to delete our files. This computer shop didn't delete our things either, and the person who bought the computer from them wound up with our instant messaging programs and proceeded to send messages to the people on our contact lists. So maybe it's something like that (I hope!) You can feel free to send me a PM anytime, I love to hear from new friends. =)

Not trying to male bash,,,but, the words 'she' used (F****** C*** B***) sound more like words that would come out of an angry male's mouth. So I agree that it was either a hacker, or her DH. JMHO.
