My dh is in the Navy and at Great Lakes(near Chicago) going to school. We were living in GA. and instead of me not seeing him for 4 mo. my son and I came back to Toledo to stay w/my Mom-that way I can see my dh on weekends. My mom is a nut case and so on the way here I was freakin' out about staying with her. My dhs mom and I were friends before that is how I met my dh-she told us we could stay w/her-great no problems TIL now!!!! We have 48 days to go and she decides to act like a lunatic-never to me mind you-but to her husband-I am pregnant and on bedrest so I can't do much, so I stay up really late and sleep in to avoid doing things I shouldn't be doing(which was her idea). Well my fil stayed up late last nite - he was in the living room and I was in my room the whole nite. I was on the puter and talking to my dh til about 330am. this am she call my fil at work and *****es him out saying that he stayed up w/me all nite and she couldn't sleep-that it was like Night of the Living Dead!! She know I am crazy about my dh and WTF!!! she can barely stand her dh-the whole thing grosses me out and pisses me off. I know it is difficult having someone stay at your house and all but that is just ludacris-she acts all nice to me and doesn't mention a word of her hallucinations to me. I certainly don't want her dh and just because they have a shi**y relationship doesn't mean I want to be brought into it!! Oh I am so sick of psycho nutty looney women!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe it's not so much about you as it is about her and her husband. Sounds like to me she is insecure and needs reassurance from him. Try not to let it get to you to much. If you think she is jealous of you for some reason then when she is around be sure and pay as little attention to him as possible without looking like your avoiding him for some reason. Try to talk with her and do things with her when you can. That should make her feel better. And make life a little easier on you and her husband while you stay with them.
It could be a number of things causing her to act that way. Anything from her meds to just feeling bad about herself.
My MIL before she passed on started acting supper jealous over her husband. She would do crazy stuff. It was her meds causing it. She even slapped her other DIL. And she was suspicious of any female. So when they came over I never even looked at her husband. I wouldn't talk to him either. I only had eyes and ears for her. This seemed to satisfy her enough that she didn't turn on me like she was everyone else.
Good Luck, I hope it gets better for you there.

{{{lynde}}} I'm sorry she's acting like that. Is she going thru menopause? That's done some really strange things to my mother, lol.
BTW--I'm only an hour away from you :)
