View Full Version : My Stupid ISP!

I just caught them deleting my emails again! What business do they have deleting messages from my inbox before I read them! My mailbox is only at 3% capacity, so there should not be a problem with that. They've done it several times this month! They've deleted gift certificates that I've never gotten to use, they've deleted survey invitations, a confirmation email for a $50 survey I did that the company now refuses to pay because I cannot prove I've taken the survey, they've deleted my secret pal's address, and I don't know how to get it again because I never found out what her BBS user name was! They've also deleted purchase reciepts and emails from my bank.
I checked my email 10 minutes ago, and it told me to come back later because they were working on my account. I just checked it again, and sure enough, about a dozen missing emails! My cousin uses the same ISP I do and her mailbox is at 89% capacity. If space is such an issue with our cable company, shouldn't they be deleting emails from accounts like hers instead!?!? Uggh. Some people.... Oh, well, thanks for letting me vent.

How horrid!!!! What ISP do you use? Just a suggestion but maybe you should change ISP! I use wmconnect & it is cheap $9.94 & works great! I have used Netzero in the past & that worked really well also. Hope that helps:)

Oh no that's horrible! Definitely try switching your important stuff to a free email account. I don't know about your secret pal but I know your not so secret pal sent something to you via snail mail :D

Mediacom. I took you guy's advice and asked my younger brother if I could set up one of my email addys on his ISP. I forgot who he uses, I just know he has a dial-up, but I get to set it up later. He's got one on mine, so I figured I'd ask if I could have an addy on his. I think it's AOL. Changing ISP's is not really an option for me, I don't use a dial-up modem and I have switched some of the more important stuff to a hotmail addy. You'd think for $50+ a month, Mediacom would be a lot better!
