Anyone near Ft Polk Lousiana??

I have a coworker who's husband is being stationed there. She will be moving down in June after school ends. Anyone live near there or stationed at the base that can give her an idea of what to expect? She had two boys 10(?) and 5.

Thank you so much. She will really appreciate those. She can't wait to move but is going to be leaving her family behind. We will be keeping in touch with her though as her sister works with us also.

You're welcome. I know it's hard to leave family. Our first duty station was Germany. I cried for the first 2 weeks.

She is very happy but just a little nervous about moving away from her parents, sisters, neices and nephew. We have promised to keep her up on all the gossip and anything she would want to know.
Her kids are excited though. Dad has been gone for training for almost 2 years and they miss him really bad. It will be a great learning experiance and they know that too.
