My hamster died

My six year old came out and told me Hamtaro wouldn't wake up. She said she thought he was really tired cause he wasn't moving around. I went into check and he had died. He was fine this morning. The kids are crying and really upset. We buried him in our flower garden and they decorated his grave with a rock and some flowers.

I'm so sorry:( it's not silly to be upset when you lose a pet no matter what type of pet it was.

My girls both own a hamster. After we bought them I then read about them...oops...guess I should have done that first. Anyway, the thing that struck me was the average life expectancy was only 2 years. So sorry to hear about your Hammy...one of ours is named Hamtaro also. :( I love the little dudes. I think the "burial" idea was very sweet of you.

Thank you everyone. I couldn't find this thread until now.

He was only about 6 months old. I am not sure why he died.

They keep putting flowers out there on his grave, it is about 6 inches deep with flowers now.:rolleyes:
