Ok, Just had the vanity replaced. Found that even though we cleaned out much of the gunk from the drain pipes my contractor said to still use a bottle of Professional Liquid Plumber (as directed by the bottle)in order to clear any other clogs before snaking the pipes next week.

Is it normal to have tiny bubbles pop up at the top of the standing water while we wait for the stuff to do it's job?

It is probably a combination of the acid in the drain opener doing its work and air that is finally able to pass down into the pipe as it clears.;)

Yes, just the trapped air bubbles rising up.

Thanks for the info...

Never used the Professional Strength stuff before.

Just want this drain to work as it should since it took five and a half years for me to have the vanity, top, faucet, medicine cabinet and light fixtures replaced from the originals.

I'd really hate to have to due major plumbing stuff too.
