...head on down the highway. Lookin' for adventure in whatever comes my way. Yea baby gonna make it happen, take the world in a love embrace, fire all of your guns at once and explode into space...

I like smoke and lightning, heavy metal thunder. Racin' with the wind, and the feeling that I'm *younger* :D

Like a true nature's child  I was born,
BORN TO BE WILD
I can climb so high...never wanna die...

Who said I'm picking you up in a car? :D

And yes, be afraid. Be very afraid.

JB, you ride? I love that song btw.

Oooo I love motorcycles. I loaned my Honda 550 to a friend 5 years ago and the turkey went and totalled it tsk. He was fine; lost the bike. There's nothing like an open road with the wind in your hair and no police around to see that you're breaking the helmet law pphhhhllltttttt LOL.

No helmet law in LA.

jaybird

No helmet law here either. Headlights on, helmet strapped to the back seat in case you cross the Mississippi into Missouri.

No ferring, no windshield, just wind and bugs and asphalt @ 70mph.

Gitchur butt to STL NOW Tytie, we'll go see John Kay tonight. I hate going alone. All my family and friends are deadbeatmiddleagedpartypoopers.

That Nighthawk (650) 23,000 original miles. 1982. Pristine.

IS THE ONLY THING ON MY 50th BIRTHDAY GIFT LIST. If'n I don't get it with a big bow on it, I'm probably buying it for myself. Much cheaper than that $135,000 Aston-Martin convertible I asked for. ;)

Learned to ride a month after I turned 16, on my neighbor's Harley. Still have scars to prove it. :D

Ah! But JB do you ride? And by that I do not mean as a passenger. Fess up now. This is where we find out if you're a real biker chic! :D  :D

<-<-<--hangs her head sadly.

Alas, I do not ride (any more). Temporary issue. This free-spirited hippie married a conservative Navy boy. That has never been on a bike in his life. Yet. But then he's only 55...
;)

Almost had him talked into it awhile back, but he was looking at big ol' touring bikes. Bleagh.

Well that makes two of us darling! :p It's been years (well, 5 to be exact) ah . . . but that doesn't mean that I don't see people on their bikes, on a beautiful day, and even with their lid on I'm envious.

I don't think people realize just how much fun a motorcycle can be. Look, you don't have to be a speed demon! I for one don't like going super fast on a bike — sheesh, what's the point? I mean riding puts you viscerally in touch with your surroundings, in a way that no other mode of transportation — with the exception possibly of a live animal, such as a horse — can provide. You feel the road. You're up close and intimate with rock formations, trees, the earth, the air, the sky . . . It's a religious experience man. I just love it.

Have you considered getting Chuck on a snowmobile? I've found that's a really good way to dispel some of the discomfort about getting on a bike.

Never enough snow here for a snowmobile. He's got his boat. 65mph on water is fast enough for him.

I need a bike.

Birdy, the bike probably weighs more than you! I so can't picture you on one.

LMAO--that is how they look now. Just why have they grown old and I haven't? I expect them to still look like they did on their albums. Not just Steppenwolf but all of them.

I can just see you gals on your bikes heading out to the Sturgis rally. WOOHOO.

Welp, I have to leave in 5 minutes if'n I'm going. And I am dressed & ready. And out of the mood totally. I should have left right after work...

Ratzenfratzen.
