How in the world did you save $67.39? I get coupons in the local paper on Sunday and I get coupons in the mail through valupak. I think they are on the internet. They have coupons you can get in email, like coolcoolsavings but I haven't gotten anything from there. Maybe some have I just can't make it work for me. Some stores have coupon bins so look for them. People throw coupons they can't use in there but it's a hassle to sort through them.

I get the most coupons in my Sunday paper.

I read a thread on here on how to save money on buying groceries. I didnt save nearly as much as some people are saving but I am very proud of myself for saving what I did. I bought and traded coupons on FSOT.(mostly traded) I organized them into envelopes frozen aisle, dairy case, meats, etc (I dont have one of those fancy coupon organizers) and we spent FOUR hours in the grocery store but that averages to $16.75 an hour so I can live with that! LOL
Oh yeah and plus my store doubles coupons up to .50 and they put everything else up to $1 if its over .50. I spent $200.00 but I saved $67 :-) I wish I still had the thread that I read because it helped me alot...Maybe someone else can post the thread if they have it or can remember the title of the thread. I'll be happy to help you anyway I can but you would probably save more from the 'Pro's' LOL I hope I helped you somewhat

Someone needs to teach me how to coupon I suck! Never find any, never sure what coupons which stores will take. I've got some, but I don't know if Wally World will take that kind and I don't know if they will take ones printed at home. I keep meaning to ask someone there but keep forgetting.

A lot of the free item coupons I got were posted in the freebie forum. Many of them were for taking a short survey. Just keep your eyes open and cruise that forum, lol.

Also, if I like a product, I'll go to the company's website and email them about it. A lot of time they'll send you coupons in the mail after that. HTH

i think that wal mart takes all coupons, they dont double, and they dont take the buy 1 get 1 free coupons. I usally stir up a good conversation with all of the free product coupons that i turn in. i think that the most that i have ever saved is around $30.00. and i think that the majority was free products. I love coupons!

I love couponing!!!!! I just received in the mail coupons worth over $25.00 in targeted, mandatory-purchase (essential, not optional) items within the last week alone, just from my trading buddies!

You can see my coupon list here! (http://forums.bigbigsavings.com/showthread.php3?s=&threadid=274258) $10.00 of them went out the door yesterday when I hit up various sales and slapped those puppies down. :D  :D

And FTSB already knows how much her name cracks me up! :D

I may have been the one to post the link before on how to save with coupon.

We have something in S. California called Teri's List. This is a on-line site that is done by a woman who puts all coupons and prices in a computer database. She sells her "list" every week ($10 for 2-month subscription) and you use the list to shop and get the best prices.

The key is in understanding that there are 12-week sales trends and that you should shop based on the trend, not based on your need. You shop to stockpile...purchasing items when they are at their cheapest. She does all the work and tells you when things are at their least. You just use her list each week.

When you first start out using her program, there will be more "need" items on your list. But within a few weeks, your "needs" go down because you have started stockpiling the items. Obviously, certain things like produce can't be stockpiled.

Hubby and I have always couponed and he was skeptical when I told him that we should use her system. But the first week when we saved 45% off our food bill, he was hooked. We have saved as much as 65%, but usually hover around 50%. We could save more but we do buy a lot of luxury items.

Like I said, Teri's List is designed with S. California in mind as she is comparing prices at our markets here. But her web site explains her process and how to apply it where you live. It just takes up more of your time because she isn't creating the list for you.

I swear...hubby and I print the list on Sunday, pull our coupons from our box (all sorted) and we shop primarily based on what she has on the list...not what we need a particular week. I run out of mayonaise...I go to my stockpile. I run out of toothpaste, or detergent, or salad oil, or cereal, etc...I go to the stockpile. I already have a supply.

If anyone is interested in the website...e-mail me at [email protected] and put BBS Member in your title. I'll send you the link. I don't want to publish it here because it is a service that she sells and I think it is against the Board's rules.

I need restaurant coupons since we eat out more than in but whenever I have seen them you have to join a club to get the savings and it sure doesn't look like any savings to me.

I bought my entertainment book through my points...I saved $10 on the book, got free shipping and points on top of that! That book saves much more than what it actually costs and you can use it from Nov to Nov..Check it out!

I had one of those books one time and it seemed like it cost me more than it was worth. I used the coupons to my regular restaurants and then the others were to restaurants I never go to so we made it a point to go there. After running around all over town redeeming these coupons and then all the restaurants that went under before we got to them I felt like I was burned getting the book.
I'd rather get the ten dollar book but can't find those very often. Sigh.

I can understand people swapping coupons but do people really sell coupons? I thought that was illegal. Not trying to offend anyone who sells them I'm just curious that's all.

For you people that eat out, register at Lone Star's website. They send me coupons every few months (if you have one in your area).

That's exactly what I do Raven. LOL, I keep all the reataurant coupons I think we will use in my purse and we use them when we go to those restaurants. I get quite a few in the paper and sent in the mail. I liked My Points when they had a credit card that could be used everywhere and it would give you points but they don't have that anymore and all the other dining programs are just too expensive to sign up for what you get back. IMO

Have your noticed the web certificates take more points now at My Points so if you are redeeming your points to use at restaurants you should get the restaurant GC and not the web certificates. It's 1,500 pts. for a $10.00 web cert and 1,400 for a restaurant GC. Of course, this limits you to certain restaurants but 100 pts. takes longer to get.

My hubby uses his CC every time we go out to eat or shop and the one he has gives him flyer miles so we are getting something.

Go to ebay search and type coupons LOL 50 MILLION coupons will come up and people are buying them. I must say I havent gotten some pretty good deals on coupons there but I dont really like to do it that way. We just recently moved to South Jersey and all the Sunday papers I had gotten from May til about a month ago had NO coupons in them. No matter what store I would buy the paper at. (we live in small town too!) I called the Newspaper and complained...I think the people delivering this area are snatching the coupons before they deliver them and selling the coupons on ebay. Anyway, I am now getting the paper delivered to my door on Sundays :D and they make sure it has coupons in it every week...Sometimes I get double LOL

I am still a firm believer in the Entertainment book. We just got ours two weeks ago and have already used enough to coupons to pay for the thing....I know there will be tons and tons we dont use but I know we will definately get more back than what we paid for it. AND it forces us to try new things! LOL

[B]PS I GOT MY FIRST FREE COUPON IN THE MAIL...ALEVE FOR UP TO $9.99 :D :D :D :D :D
