Anyone ever had their carpet dyed?

When the cleaning service did our carpet the guy said he could dye it for $125 and it would look great. Its a light grey color and gets dirty easily. Does it look good after its dyed or does it look like its been dyed? Would you do it again?

my mom and dad did it its cheaper than replacing it. they went with the same color only darker. 125 sounds kinda cheap though-lol they paid 300 but i guess it might depend on where u live
