Have a question about a game. My sister and I went to an arcade that has a game where you do dance steps as the music plays. The arrows show you where to step and you do it in sync to the music. Is there such a game for the Playstation 2? I guess it would have to come with some type of pad to dance on to register the steps. This thing gave us quite a workout and would be fun to do at home instead of 'Sweating to the Oldies'. ;)

You're talking about DDR...Dance Dance Revolution! My brothers have that for PS1. It has a pad you plug in to dance on, and the game has a "workout mode" to burn calories. It's called DDRMAX for PS2

PS. You can also get it for the computer, and you'll need adapters to plug the pad into your USB port. It really is an awesome game...wonderful for kids AND adults, non-violent, lots of levels of play. I'm going to try to get it for PS2 also just so we can try the new songs and levels. :)

Oh WOW!! Great! Now that I know it is out there, I will have to get one. We did break a sweat. My hubby video taped it, and I didn't look pretty hoppin' up and down trying to look like I knew what I was doing. Thanks for all of the help!

Okay, another question. Are these usually sold seperately from the mats? The walmart site doesn't state they have a mat, while the outpost site does sell them seperatly. I went to ebay, and they sell them with two non-slip mats, but how can they sell them so much cheaper?

There are lots of different brands of mats. Name brand and off-brand. We got ours (game and mats)on ebay and they are great. Yes, the game is sold seperately from the mats. When you get them, never ever wear shoes on the mats...they will wear out faster.

DDR Rules!

Dance Dance Revolution is a great game and a great workout. My boyfriend is addicted and he is so good at it. I love the game, but I am still having some feet trouble so I can't play too much. My boyfriend even built pads that are like the arcade ones. They are much sturdier and accurate than the store ones. :D

Cool! Thanks for the tips! I didn't realize that you could make your own compatible mats. I think I will check toys r us today. Or maybe Target would be less expensive. We have a Best Buys on our way home. Maybe check there first to see if they have a lower price. Having this might help motivate hubby too. It is too easy to come home exhausted from work and to just sit. Now he can be exhausted and dance, too! I will get the whip out! ;)

Thankyou! I will! Funny, I was doing price checks and saw the Dance, Dance with two mats for $68.99. When to check on ordering it again, and it disappeared! Okay, who snagged my Dance, Dance deal? Hmmmm? Took it right outta my hands and danced away with it! Hmph! ;)
