okay -- I am confused.

The dateline on this story is January 27, 2003 ...

"Delays were exhibited in visual discrimination, verbal concept and receptive/expressive language skills. Child made very few verbalizations," a professional wrote of the 3-year-old in an evaluation from May 2001.

Are they talking about the same child ?

If he was age three in May 2001, he should be almost five now.

If he was three at the time of the story, he was an infant in May 2001 and the evaluation makes no sense.

:confused:

BTW - when my three year-old used to get in the fridge, I solve the problem with a strip of velcro.

There are 2 cases mentioned but I'm confused by the same thing.

In responcse to a message I recieved off the board regarding my post :

The velcro goes on the fridge - NOT the child.
Sorry if I was unclear.
Two "dots" of velcro on the door & on the top -- strip to join the two. Child can't open door, not too difficult for one handed adult to manage in the middle of the night.

:rolleyes:

well I thought it was self evident.

A 'certain person' may have been "yankin ma chain" LOL

I hereby attest that I do not advocate securing minor children to ANY piece of furniture with chains, rope, string, twine, dental floss, velcro, yarn, bungee cords, duct tape, scotch tape, masking tape, packing tape, or anything else sick little minds might dream up.

{{Does that about cover it ?}}

Geez ...
