I know we're all Americans but what is your heritage? How many of you are "mutts" out there? Any of you born in another country?


I'm 99.9% German, I was born there.

Heinz 57 here.. :) German, Scots, Norwegian, 3 tribes of Indian - Seneca, Delaware, and Mohawk (although I can't tan - I'm a pale-skinned blonde! I fry.), Pennsylvania Dutch, and a bunch of others I can't remember right now. But there's at least 6 more in there somewhere. :)

My mom was born in Wales and was half Welsh, half French
My dad was half Irish and half French.
Not sure what that makes me....half French;a quarter Welsh and a quarter Irish??

Both sides of my family are about half Irish and half German.

I spent a semester in Ireland when I was in college, and because I have very fair skin and dark hair, I had other Americans come up to me on the street and ask for directions, thinking that I was Irish. I want to live there someday- for the first time in my life, I could be out in the sun for hours at a time and not end up looking like a lobster!

Dad's side : Indian , Irish

I tend to lean towards the indian side more tho temper , color ect , ect .. the only one out of us 3 girls that did the other two are dark haired n fair skinned

Indian as in Native American or from India? I have a friend who is Indian (from India) & she has the most beautiful colored skin! It's the color of coffee with cream. I'm dark complected (sp?) but not such a pretty soft color all over, LOL! :)

1/2 Slovak (from Dad) & 1/4 Italian and 1/4 German (from Mom). Mom said we had a bunch of little stuff from her side like French, Scotish, Irish, English, but I am not sure so I just stick with Slovak, Italian (actually Sicilian) and German.

Of all those it ends up I am the highest percentage of Ukrainian (1/4) and Norwegian (about a 1/4). haha It's quite a mixture but I kind of like being able to learn about so many cultures. I am also intrigued by other cultures as well.

So many different mixtures! I'm Hungarian (Dad is 100%), Irish & Lithuanian (Mom's side). So I guess that makes me a member of the mutt club too! Most people insist that I must be German though, I'm told it's because I have blonde hair and fair skin - go figure...
