In case you missed last night's Golden Globes awards ceremony, here's a recap of the winners.

The musical comedy "Chicago" took home three awards, including best musical or comedy movie, best actor Richard Gere and best actress Renee Zellweger.

"The Hours" landed two awards of its own for best drama movie and best actress, Nicole Kidman. Meanwhile, "Gangs of New York" won two of its own with Martin Scorsese receiving best director honors and rock band U2 winning best song.

In the TV categories, the FX channel's cop drama "The Shield" won two Golden Globes, one for best drama series and one for best actor in a drama series, Michael Chiklis.

HBO was the big winner in the TV categories, with six wins, including best comedy series for "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and best actress in a drama series for Edie Falco, who plays Carmela Soprano in "The Sopranos". The HBO war drama "The Gathering Storm" won two awards, one for best miniseries or TV movie and another for best actor Albert Finney.

While the prestigious Golden Globe awards typically signify the results to come in the Academy Awards ceremony, this year's was a little different, with the awards being spread out to a wide array of recipients. The Oscars should prove to be quite an interesting spectacle.
