We went to the Kansas race last year. Course that track is only about 30 minutes from me. :D

www.expedia.com and www.travelaxe.com are the two I always use. Do not know if travelaxe has Charlotte on its list or not but it has been cheaper than expedia at times. Travelaxe will do a comparison of several different sites and gives you the comparisons and which is the best deal.

We usually stood at a Comfort Inn that is in Kannoplois. We normally booked the room for the next year whiel we were leaving.

travelworm.com was where we got really cheap tickets before. We priced travelocity, travelzoo, put in a bid on priceline, and tried expedia but travelworm was the best. Good Luck!
