Hi All

When I was a little boy growing up in good ol Brooklyn in the 1980's, we used to buy this gum from the ice cream man, the gum was called Chinese Gum and each piece was individually wrapped and contained a fortune inside. Im dying to buy this gum but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone remember this gum and know where to find it if it's even still available?

Thanks

Paul :)

I searched and searched, but I can't find it. The only thing that I can think of is that Bazooka like freebie said.

Oh Man!!!! The memories!! We used to buy a whole bunch of candy at this one Mom and Pop store and then go to school and sell it! Fire Stix, chinese candy, chinese gum, sal con limon, chamoy, chamoy sticks, etc!!! Last I saw it was at a store called Reubens in San ANtonio. Small store. DOn't know the manufacturer of that gum - but I remember it!!! Thanks for the memories! ;)

LOL. I think this is the gum that was featured on an episode of Seinfeld once, though I've never seen it.

I remember that gum too! Every day at recess, we used to get someone from the Catholic school to go to the ice cream truck to get us some of that gum - we weren't allowed to go out of the gate, but they were! That stuff was so good. I wish I could help you with the name though! I wonder if they sell it in Chinatown in NY?

I don't know about the gum but I love Mallow Cups and I haven't seen any around in a while. They used to sell them at one of the small convenience stores nearby but I haven't seen them in a while. I love those things. lol

Are these the ones that look like a Reeses Peanut putter cup, but they have Marshmallo in the middle of chocolate and in the choclate is like toasted coconut?

I saw that link on one of the pay sites I do and kept it under favorites. When I get the occasional webby I like to order stuff I otherwise wouldn't get. Plus I don't feel like paying mall candy store prices.
