Domino's makes good! I am in shock !

Back in 2/2001 I wrote a letter to Domino's corp. HQ bc there were issues with an order we had and the delivery man changing his tip
well I sent the letter 3 times and recieved no reply. About a month ago I came across a copy of it and decided I was going to resend it.

I did and two people from Domino's called me and e-mailed me wanting to discuss it with me...I hadn't gotten around to calling them back but guess what I just got in the mail...

A letter with $100.00 in gc (20 $5.00 gc with exp. dates of 12/2005 except ehre in Ca they never expire!)
and they said they are sending a $100.00 check from Domino's Pizza LLC as "compensation for my time and inconvenience"

I'm waiting to hear from 3 places I sent letters to. It does pay to state your opinion, otherwise they think that everything is always okay with everyone. Don't be afraid to send a letter or call if you have a bad experience! These companies need to know.

that's great, Prncs!!!! I'm happy you got some reimbursment for them!
It's great to see companies take care of their customers. I have a feeling they could have gotten into a LOT more trouble for one of their delivery drivers commiting fraud.

Good deal! Persistence pays off...lol... I am glad they finally came through for you. I am curious, how did the delivery guy change his tip? Did you pay by credit card? Also, how much did he change it for? I am nosy...lol..hehee..

to answer your question:

The way it went down was this..we lived in an apt complex and it was February. When the delivery man got to the complex, he rang our apt. and I buzzed him in. 10 minutes later, he rang our apt again. We thought maybe he had gotten lost but no, he was calling wondering where *we* were! I said, "I buzzed you in" and his response was that he wasn't going to "deliver" the pizza to our apt. We had to come out to the front gate adn get it from him. Um hello, what does he thing delivery means? I'm sorry, but he had no right to demand that we go out to the front of the complex so...

he got nothing. My boyfriend wrote $0.00 on the line for the tip and totaled the order on the total line. He later wrote in 1.00 for the tip.

By the time we got our pizza back to the apt it was luke warm.

So there you have it :D
