No, I don't believe so. I would wash the wall with soap and water afterwards though.

you can ask my 6 year old, she used Dawn soap warm water wash cloth and lots of muscle. She taped a nice picture she colored to the wall in her room. But then saw the borders needed color Abby began to color on the paper buta lot was getting on the wall. Then she saw her mistake and retaped over the purlpe on the wall. I removed them when I saw it was odd and hanging sideways.
She had to put in a LOT of muscle to scrub it off but she was having fun giggling and bouncing on her bed. I think she learned a good lesson- finish your art work before hanging it up.

Frighteningly enough...the best thing that I have found was McDonald's unsweetened tea. I was cleaning my daughter's art work off the wall. I was drinking a cup of McD's tea at the same time. I accidentally stuck the sponge in the tea and the crayon came right off the wall. I would not have known if the sponge had not left a floaty in the tea. Needless to say, I don't drink the tea anymore. I stick to soda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D ;)

I used WD 40 on semi gloss painted walls and it came off super easy. No scrubbing at all.... and thanks, that reminds me, I gotta go do it again..ds scribbled on his sister's walls again! Anyone know how to clean flat paint? (normal dirt/handprints/crayons?) I hate flat paint!!!!

I hate that stuff too! and evertime I wash it, it never looks clean!-my suggestion is just to PAINT IT! I did it last year and this time I bought semi-gloss, for my hallway and I don't mind washing the walls now! All those finger prints and hand prints just come off so easily now! But when I washed my flat painted hallway I just used some good old dishsoap and some very warm water...and it still didn't look good.

My son does this alot to the walls.
What I have found that works great is SHOUT Stain Remover.
I spray on the walls and boom ! The crayon is gone.

This definitely sounds easier than scrubbing! I will have to try this!
