Need more help!

I will be gone on my trip for 5 days. Just me & my DD. I have 2 med. sized suitcases, a carry on & a diaper bag. Why can I not get all the things I'll need in them??? (Oh, & I have PC parts for my son in 1 of the suitcases :rolleyes: ) DD won't sleep without her bear & pooh pillow & fuzzy blanket, either. I feel like I'm moving, not just going on a trip!

well then shouldn't the pillow, the bear, and the fuzzy blanket be carried on with ya??! lol You'll get it. Hey I could come sit on the suitcase till it closes enough to latch it!!! ((hippie & dot))

Sounds like the trip I was on with my mother & daughter last summer. :) DD HAD to have her "Dolly" with her so I had to make room for it in my carry-on (back pack) along with a couple of other can't-live-without things she had to have. Got tired of carrying a diaperbag for her and got her a mini backpack of her own so she could either carry it herself or the loop at the top could go over the stroller handle. Made things a lot easier and left my hands free to do other stuff. :) Do your suitcases have wheels and straps to buckle the handle down? IF they do, buckle one suitcase onto the other one and you only have one to pull. Just don't go to fast, it can tip easy. :)

Be ready to get patted down at the airport for any carry-ons. Sounds like they are getting tough. Hope your dot can keep her bear and pillow but they may think she is smuggling in a bomb you know.

I hope that was a joke, a weak joke at that. I'm sure Hippie already has plenty of things to worry about considering she's about to fly alone on a plane w/ a toddler. I'm sure your reply helped ease some of her concerns. :rolleyes: Hippie, I do hope the flight and your trip goes smoothly as I cant imagine traveling alone w/ Paige. Have a great time. :)

Ya know, I really coulda done without that. :rolleyes: I've flown alot, but the times my son was with me, he was at least 8. I could tell him to sit down & shutup! LOL! But it's ok if they wanna search my bags thoughly, & I hope they do everyones else's too.

I am packed now, but the carry-on & diaper bag is HEAVY! I will try to post soon after I arrive & will probably have a vent or two, LOL! Thanx for the good vibes all!

How old is your DD? My boys always carried their own backpacks aboard with their stuffed animals, blankies, etc. That way it left more room in the suitcase for clothes and stuff.

Me? I'm so behind! Have a good trip, hippie, I'm sure it'll all come out in the wash, so to speak, lol. I think kel's right - you should be able to carry at least the clanket and the bear with yaou, in addition to the carry-on, and not worry about putting them in a suitcase. Hope you have a great visit - stay safe and warm!
