Now I am looking for some good cheap wine. I'm not going to mix them with the sleeping pills I am looking for so don't worry. LOL I have never drunk any kind of wine so I don't know whats good and whats not. Help me out, I know we have some wine drinkers on here. I would like to get some to drink on New Years, so come on yall and help me. :)
The only thing close to wine that I have had is a wine cooler. lol
What's best...red or white? or whatever

I like an inexpensive wine by Quady Winery, it's Orange Muscat, runs around $7.50-8.00 a bottle. IF you can find it, distinctive bottle, white wine, red label with an angel on it. It's only 4% and very sweet. I also like several wines from local wineries that won't help you. Go to a winery or wine shop, sample their wares. THEN remember what you liked and go purchase it elsewhere (cheaper) Sweet rieslings are good, I like peche, sweet aubergine, cabernets. If you aren't a winedrinker, you probably won't care for the dry wines. Stay away from merlots and ports. White zinfandel is a good choice. Any big, local market or grocery chain should have tons of selections at various prices. If Sarah were here, she could help you a lot more. She knows her wines.

There is the wine drinker I was looking for! ;) hehehe Thanks, I will try and remember all of this when I go out to buy my wine. Maybe I should just write it all down that way I don't get anything mixed up. lol

Fugi is the man you need to talk to about wine. I buy what I like, not what should be served with certain meals. I'm not a huge wine fan, but I like to drink wine. Does that make sense? So the wine has to taste GOOD to me, and not bitter with an aftertaste. I don't want it to taste like feet like some wine does. ;) Seriously, go tasting and then you'll get an idea. Or hmmm, where are you? Any Stone Hill or St. James wines (from MO) available there? If so, try the St. James Velvet White.

You might want to check your local drug stores for cheap wines. I know that this time of the year they are selling them really cheap. I just picked up 3 bottles of wine, well one Champagne and the other two wine for only $9.99. They were 3/$9.99. I got them for my SIL and BIL. I don't know how they are going to taste but they like wine, red and white so I got them a Zinfidel(white wine) and a Merlot(red wine). But I figured it would be a great gift, plus who knows maybe one might become their favorite. Me, myself I preffer a red wine, like a Merlot, or Burgandy. I forget which company makes little 4-packs of wine, but you might want to try those too, I think that they are like $6-$8,,,, not sure. But we do have this local winery call Tabor Hill and they are reasonably cheap and I love their Triple Demi-Sec. Your best bet is to go on one of those winery tours and sample some. As soon as we can Hubby and I are going to one around here. (plus I bought some really pretty wine glasses for my mom for x-mas, but I also got some for myself too,- lol so I need to start using them, merry christmas to me!)

I don't think I could handle drinking something that tastes like feet. LOL
