she's too young, just being homesick for her mom :)

i would say she's a lil young...tho I was not much older than her when I began to spend the night away. (but the difference of a year is a lot at that age!)

I agree! I think I was 8 when I started spending the night places other than my grandparents, though I believe I may have had friends to my house when I was around 6. I really just liked being at my house and not at anyone else's-even when I got older! lol

Personally my six year old would probably stay anywhere .. but I think she is too young. She sleeps at Aunts and Uncles houses here and there and has never had a problem, but I think she is too young to do the friends house sleep over.
Give your daughter a few years and she will come around.

My brothers are completely different. Gabe, 14, has never had a problem staying overnight with friends. He was in kindergarten (5) when he went to his first all-nighter. Matt is 12 and he STILL would not spend the night anywhere else. Even with family members...he gets nervous and worries when he is away from home, and it's not fun for him at all. I think kids want to do what everyone else is doing, but sometimes they just aren't ready.

My granddaughter will be 6 in Jan. She still hasn't even spent the night with me. Her mom says she hasn't cut the cord yet. LOL They miss their mommy's when they are that age. But I think it would be good for them to spend the night with a relative, get them a little use to being away from mommy. Makes it real hard when they go to school.
