I also have IBS and pretty much have it under control. I take Caltrate D+ - half pill in the morning, half pill at night. It has pretty much stopped the big "d" except for a few occasions. Some people need to start out with more than I take, you have to experiment a little. No more than 3 a day though. Glad to see we have our "own little family" here....hope we can help each other deal with this nasty problem!!!

I have IBS and I take acidophilus, you get it at the health food store, just make sure that it is refrigerated. If you can tolerate the liquid (that tastes like watery milk) then it works much faster then the capsules. I take 2-3 caplets a day. It's not medicine either, it just replaces the "friendly flora" back into your system. Also good to take this after you've taken antiboitics, they strip away all flora, good and bad, the acidophilus replaces that. Hope this helps!
