If you didn't install one, more than likely you don't have one, a firewall is software that blocks others from entering your PC through the internet without your knowledge.

Sygate is a good one

OK I DOWNLOADED THIS EMAIL SPYCATCHER THING THAT BOUNCES ALL THE E MAIL BACK AND IT SAYS CONNECTION TIMED OUT (POSSIBLY CUSED BY A FIREWALL) THE PROGRAM IS MAILWASHER
