When is everyone putting up they're christams tree?

im not putting one up...i can see it now if i did...aj and the kitten would have a field day at the tree's expense! besides we are going to New Jersey for x-mas so the tree will not be used x-mas morning.

We put ours up Sunday night. Since there aren't as many days between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year I put mine up a little early...that and I need a place to start stashing the kids presents;)

Well, I put mine up two weeks ago. I guess I was a bit excited about Christmas. My hubby thought I was weird. He was saying, "We have not even celebrated Thanksgiving yet!" Oh, well....heheeheee

Hopefully this weekend. No real one this year. I bought a revolving tree stand last year at K-Mart for 75% off & that one I can not use a live tree in. Hey...fake is good...right!

Well.... I never took down one 4'tree (fake, of course) I decorated it with angels last year and just decided to keep it up "for a while longer..."

Tops has potted Norfolk Island Pines. Bought one last week and started decoration it....and the house today.

For those with kitties who believe that the decorated tree is there for their pleasure, try what I did when my beloved pal was young...Decorate the rest of the house. Greens in baskets and bowls, lots of ribbon everywhere (I prefer red)...lots of red, green, white candles...hang garlands and hang your ornaments from them...

Yes, I do love decorating for the holidays!

I put ours up yesterday. We always get a fake (my fiance's allergic to real trees) pre-lit tree. It's SO much easier.

How does a revolving tree stand work? It sounds pretty! Does the light cord get wrapped around it? :confused:

I just have to get some garland. I always used live trees until 3 years ago when I had the baby & got the puppy. Soo, I never needed it before. Anyway, the last few years I decorated the fake one with Ribbons, but this year I am in for a change!

It depends on when my mother will get to come home from the hospital. In the past we haven't put it up until after the 14th (her birthday) so it probably won't be until then. I'd like to do it sooner, but have to move some stuff around first before it'll be possible. :D

We always put ours up on the 19th(my mom's birthday),Family tradition still carried on even thou we lost mom 6 years ago.Now we go to the cemetary during the day and decorate our family plot with lots of wreaths and a small tree in the middle the we put ours up in the evening and sing carols with POP.Helps all of us remember what the season is REALLY all about!

The kids put mine up on Wed. I decorated it last night. I usually put it up the day after Thanksgiving but I was doing a plumbing project that took precedence. We still havent decorated outside, maybe tomorrow.

We will put ours up on December 16th. Our season is so busy that we have to schedule every activity. We don't get a tree too early because we get a live tree and we keep it through until New Years' Day. With our warm weather in California...having it up any longer is a fire hazard.

Hopefully, I will be able to have at least one fake tree in our new home next year. But...I have promised the family that there will be a smaller real tree in the family room.

We've had ours up for 2 and a half weeks lol. Every night after the kids and Dh go to be I turn off all the lights in the house except the tree and just sit a look at it. Im sure that sounds odd but for some reason a lighted Christmas tree has always calmed my nerves :)
