For those of you following my Pedro.....

I had a dream three nights ago that I went out to pet Pedro in the grass in our front yard. When I was petting him he started peeing blood all over the place like an artery. Strange dream but he has been doing okay. For those of you that do not know he was diagnosed with partial paralysis three months ago and it has been up and down with him. Last night I was bringing him in for the night and as he climbed my step he started peeing and it was a strange color. Then he kept on and there was a lot of blood. Needless to say I had to put him down last night to end his suffering. I am so heart broken but do know he is better off now and happy and able to run and jump right again. I just wish he could have gotten well and stayed well. I know I made him happy and he was happy for all the attention. I still expected him to be around for a while but that did not happen. This was my dog, he stood and waited for my car to come up the drive, he followed me everywhere. I am so upset that I could not help him and prolong his life. Just remember to give your pets all the attention you can and more. Most of us could do more. They are so precious and you never know when they will be taken from you.

I have that in a nice frame with my loved ones that have passed on.. it is so sad, but soo soo true. (((())))

(((((gemini26)))))) I lost my beloved ferret Fanerf last week. So my sympathies are with during this rough time. Every day I put lavendar flowers on his grave to remember him. That makes me feel better. I might turn it into a memorial garden! Take some time out for yourself and remember the good memories........

I am so sorry for your loss. My brother just went through the same thing with his dog. She was his child as I am sure your Pedro is to you.

Oh Gemini....I am so sorry to hear this. You did what was best for him....the true power of friendship. I have begun to prepare my kids for the inevitability of my 13 yr old dog....she will be 14 January 01, 2002....but I don't expect her to see that day.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Pedro knows you did the best you could for him and how much you cared for and lover him. He has crossed The Rainbow Bridge and is no longer in any pain. I know nothing can take away the pain, just know you did what was best for your fur baby.

Gemini i am so sorry for your familys loss.I know how you feel this summer we lost our 18yr old cat she was as much part of our family as our kids. Your baby is better now and not hurting but it dont take the pain away.It does get better but the others are right make a memorial to remember him by we made a flower bed in the spot ours would lay in the yard and we planted wild flowers in it for her.

Thank you all for your kind words. It is hard and this afternoon I had to tell my kids. They were upset but are so resilient. I told my oldest who took it harder to go say a prayer to God thanking him for our time with Pedro and for taking him so that he can walk and run again like he should and so that he is no longer suffering. That helped her. He was very special to me and in a few days I will go visit his grave. My heart is too raw right now. I thank god for my hubby taking care of things for me and his support. We only had him for 2.5 years but he was very special to me, us. Thank you all again for your support!!
