OK, I understand that you don't watch a lot of NASCAR, so you've missed ALOT of the CRAP that he has dished out. I'll admit, that in the past year or so, he has mellowed, but still....I dont like him!!
There was a race either last season or the year before where he INTENTIONALLY bumped the guy ahead of him and sent him into the wall so Gordon could win and GORDON ADMITTED IT IN THE POST RACE INTERVIEW!! OK??? And yes, he had done A LOT of whining and blaming other drivers for his own screw ups in the past. He has none of the gentleman qualities of the drivers who drove before him. And unfortunately, Tony Stewart is following those bad habits.(I think Tony has ALOT of talent and a VERY bad temper that needs controlling).

Anyone else care to comment???

(Oh, I forgot, Jeff tried denying that Vallejo California is his birthplace trying to pass off that he's from somewhere else)

Not to offend
But I think he is a pansy a** he don't look like he should be driving he looks like he should be playing golf or working Wallstreet.
Too preppy for his own good!

I don't know what you're talking about. I don't watch Nascar. I did once and fell asleep. It was too repetitive driving around in circles..although I have heard of Tony Stewart and his anger management..or lack thereof.

Ok so do you not like any racer that intentionally bumps in races then. Or any racer that gets mad and whines? Cause if thats the case then youve got pretty slim pickins lol ;) :D

I HATE Jeff Gordon with a passion...I for one think he is a cry baby(he cried once because he lost a race) and an arogant pr#$k. I gotta give him credit though when the best nascar driver in my opinion DALE EARNHARDT SR. died....Jeff was so respectful....but I still dont like him!

GOOOOOOOOOO LITTLE E!!!!!!!!! #8 YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!:D

yep--you may all jump on me but ole #3 was THE DIRTIEST DRIVER NASCAR HAS EVER HAD!!!! he did not deserve to die,i'm not even saying that, but, he WAS trying to push someone else into the wall so he and his son could win the race. he got in more fist-fights than any other driver and was a rude s.o.b. he led the crusade to put restrictor plates on all other cars because the chevy's could not beat the fords without them!!who's the "crybaby"????? and--fyi--jeff gordon's wife cheated on him a long time ago and continued to do so for years. give credit where it's due--he's a good driver and also has some faults--but--who doesn't?? we are all only human!!LOL

FYI---i like elliott myself :D

That was basiclly my point ladybreaker. All driver have their faults and everyone can like who they want but to single someone out is just nuts. Most of this stuff is just part of racing and it always has been;) I was pretty much raised at a race track so Ive heard all this my whole life all 27 years of it lol:p While I have my faves(dale jr) I still respect everyone elses faves too:D

i don't like JG either...he was whining about not winning in 30 races(or whatever the number was) but what about all these drivers who haven't won in YEARS?? like Micheal Waltrip...hes won twice maybe in his career...Jeff has 50 or so. personally i like Mark Martin:D:D
hes been doing good

And Mark doesnt blame other people when his doesnt win. Even if he was bumped and taken out, he just says, "thats racing" and goes on. Hes so mellow and never gets mad or anything.

I have watched Jeff Gordon since his childhood soapbox derby races. He basically is no different than most of the drivers. They all bump or play 'dirty' at times. There is much at stake. And so many couples are divorced. Please don't hold that against the guy. He's little and he's cute but that doesn't mean anything either.

Sure is strange that the wrestling fans love the nasty, dirty, crap. The meaner the better and it's mostly fake. Nascar is real at speeds most of us only dream about. It's cool to have favorits but it's not nice to bad mouth the drivers even if we can't stand them. There are several I wish would be booted out of racing but I won't name names.

Seems all 'sports' are getting ugly. Look at some of the baseball, football, basketball players with the filthy mouths, cheating. They just end up making more money:-(

Sorry, I'm off my soapbox for now. Sorry if I offended anyone.....

I was watching the race where #3 crashed and died, and he was not trying to put someone into the wall. I believe that #40 bumped him and put him into the wall. (not that he meant to do it either, but that's racing for you). I just don't believe that anyone should speak ill of the dead wether you liked him or not, he's not around to defend himself. If you don't like him and can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all. There are a lot of drivers I can't stand, but I refuse to bash them dead or alive. Also if I remember right it was a known fact that #3 was against restrictor plates. Just my opinion so don't bash me for it. I believe the manufacturer's championships speak for themselves.

OK...This is one subject where I could go on and on in a tangent about but I will try limit my thoughts for the moment. I apologize in advance for offending anyone as that was not my intention.

I am not a so-called "fan" of Jeff but I certainly do not dislike him (cant either because he owns my guys car!..lol). He is a talented driver and you cant take that away from him. And as far as the comment about him being an arrogant pr$#k...well...he is actually in fact a very nice, polite and respectful man. And why does someones personal life always have to have bearing on something else???? I just dont get it! So what if he was having marital problems....What does that have to do with anything???

I believe that all the drivers have done a dirty deed on the track at one time or another but granted some more than others!! (a lot more..LOL) Yes, Gordon did the bump and run to Wallace to take the checkered flag but you cant for one minute tell me that if the roles were reversed it would not have played out the same. In fact I dont believe that it wouldnt have been any different with any driver in that circumstance (except for maybe the mellow and laid back Terry Labonte :-))

I certainly have a handful of drivers that I do not like at all but I am not going to badmouth them. To each their own...If you are a die-hard Gordon fan than kudos to you.....If you are anti-Gordon than kudos to you too....

RACING IS RACING......Please dont jump on me :-)....I am just expressing my feelings and if you wish to comment on anything I said please feel free to email me at [email protected]

BTW: I AM A DIE-HARD JIMMIE JOHNSON FAN!!!!! WOOHOOO

In defense os Annie169 I asked in another thread why does everyone hate Jeff Gordon and so basically she was answering my question of why she feels a lot of people dislike him. For my part I am not a race fan I am familiar with who is who because we have one tv and my hubby is a race fan, his favorite driver is Ken Shrader then Dale Jr. or Mark Martin. I have recognized that Gordon is not well liked though I did hear one of the announcers say a long time ago that Dale SR. wasn't well liked either for a long time when he first started racing. I was watching the day Dale Sr. died and he was bumped into the wall by another driver, something they all do, something Earnhart Sr. had done in the past, no one of course could foresee the freaky fact that his seatbelt had gotten damaged and broke in the impact. I don't like racing but that old couch in the tv room is the only place that I can rest my back when its hurting and so I have learned more than I want too. Its a dangerous sport but so are all sports in one way or another. Though I don't like watching any sports I do admire the dedication it takes to be good at anything.

I'll be in the Little E fan club!!! One of my most prized possesions right now is a winner's circle gift pack, it has the 1/64 scale oreo, nilla wafer, and the budweiser cars and also a beautiful picture of Dale Jr. in his oreo racing uniform. It is the only one I've ever seen and have never been able to find another one. It may not be worth much to many, but I take it out of the bag and just gaze at it every day.
