I'm looking for information on a movie that was on the wonderful world of disney back in the late 70's I only saw it once and I was a kid but I have always wanted to see it again I would even like to buy it if it is available I can explain it but I'm not sure if I have the right details but here goes-- A child falls into a well and a ghost visits her/him thats all that I can remember. Somebody told me the title might be Child of Glass. Does anyone have any information on this? I would love to see this again. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Summary: Excellent, spooky story
Excellent film, which I recommend for everyone in the family.
Alexander Armsworth and his family move to an authentic antebellum plantation, once owned by a river pirate during the civil war. Blossom, a schoolmate of Alexander's who has a crush on him, lives nearby. Alexander sees a suspicious light in the garage, and upon investigation finds a ghost and her ghostly dog. She tells him her name, Inez, and asks for his help in finding the "child of glass" so that she can go to her eternal rest.
During a seance with Blossom, Alexander finds out that the river captain killed the little girl when she wouldn't tell him where the family treasure was, and cursed her to wander the plantation till doomsday. Alexander and Blossom try to solve the riddle; along the way there's an elegant party given by Alexander's mother, which Inez's ghost dog wrecks chasing the family cat; there's a drunken caretaker that is fired for negligence and decides to take out his anger on Alexander; and a fire that levels the garage and everyone thinks Alexander was inside.
Alexander falls down an abandoned well, and when Blossom rescues him, she finds the "child of glass". Together, they take it to Inez's crypt in a dark cemetery, where girl and doll are finally reunited. Inez can finally rest, but as a thank you she leaves them with a fantastic gift.
This film is a must for everyone. It's got ghosts, mystery, spooky cemeteries and suspense. Steve Shaw, who plays Alexander, is very, very good, and Katy Kurtz plays Blossom with panache. My kids loved this movie, as does everyone who watches it. It's hard to find, though, since it's not for sale anymore.
It was adapted from the book "The Ghost Belonged to Me".
