Question About Airports...

Hi all :)

We are picking up our Best Man tomorrow from the Seattle/Tacoma airport. We havent flown since before 9/11 and we are just curious as to what the procedures are for just picking people up at the terminal.. Do we have to go through the metal detectors and all, or is that for passengers only??

When we were picked up at the airport my FIL picked us up at the luggage pickup...you do not have to go throught metal detectors.

When we picked son up at Sea-Tac (assuming that is where your going) we had to wait at the baggage clam area. They won't let you in any other area. Make sure you know the flight# and airline so you can find out which baggage area to wait at.

What they ^ said. I flew down to Georgia and my friend met me at the baggage claim.

At our PTIA we are not allowed anywhere near the passenger area. We can only park way far away and only go to the reservation area to check on flights and then to the baggage area to greet our expected arrivals......

Thanks for the info, the last time I flew was the 20 hour flight from Australia. Things sure have changed since then....
