Bakersfield Anyone?

Since we're going to move to Bakersfield, my mom was a part of the board on Bakersfield.com. To cut a long story short, some people were not very nice (including the webmaster), so she started her own board for the "nice" people lol. It'd be really cool if people join this. My mom is completely excited about it and now she sees what I do in boards! It's for Bakersfield residents and people who in general know and love the place.

My mom was born in Bakersfield. She has been there since she was a little girl, but still, that's cool! In fact, there's a street in town, I think, named after my great-grandfather - he used to own a business there. The street would be - well, actually I don;'t know, but his name was Joseph Dillon, so I imagine it would be some variation of his name, first, last, initials, whatever, lol.

Wow! That's so cool! My aunt lives on a street that the construction...person? lol named after his daughter. Around them are tree names and then there's April Ann...he has another street named for his other daughter but i forget the name.

I went there the first time in August and I *love* it there. Aunt Debbie said we were there the hottest days and we were fine. Much better and nicer than the fog we have here! lol

I'll have to keep an eye out for that street
