No. I won't be more security conscious. But NO I haven't put 9-11 behind me. I'm just not living my life in fear of 'whatifs' or what might happen.

I have always been aware of myself and my surroundings, long before September 11th. That won't change. And I'm going to make d*mned sure that I am out in the public somewhere that day as soon as I can. A baseball game, a concert or something. I'm not hiding in my house. I won't let terrorists do that to me.

I don't think I"ll be more security conscious. I'll just be thinking of what happened a year ago.

Everyone's looking over their shoulder
more these days......But I'm not hiding,
that just serves their purpose.

No, I won't be more security conscious. I have become more aware since the tragedy but once I got over the initial shock and disbelief, I don't live my life around it. I was at Ground Zero one month after the tragedy and it really was horrific but it was a good catharsis for me. I was finally able to really mourn. It still bothers me and when I see the images, I still have a hard time understanding it. I'm not that naive that I won't be more aware of my surroundings but I won't live in fear.

THIS IS A VERY WISE QUESTION...

I LIVE ON A NAVY BASE, AND THEY ARE ALREADY
ASKING MY CHILDREN FOR THIER MILITARY I.D.'S

MY 18 YR. OLD SON, AND MY 17 YR. OLD DAUGHTER,
CAN'T EVEN WALK DOWN THE STREET WITH A FRIEND...

WITHOUT BEING QUESTIONED WHO THEY ARE, AND WHO
IS THE PERSON THEY ARE WITH!!! THEY GET QUESTIONED

IF THE PERSON DOESN'T LIVE HERE, AND SO MUCH FOR THIER FUN.

IT REALLY IS GETTING FRUSTRATING TO THEM,
BUT, I KNOW IT'S A BETTER SAFE THAN SOORY ATTITUDE.

THEN AGAIN...WHERE'S FREEDOM?

OUR BATTERY DIED A FEW DAYS BACK ON THE VAN...
COULDN'T EVEN CALL A CAB TO GO PICK UP MY `LIL CASEY
FROM SCHOOL...

NO NOT EVEN A CAB CAN GET YOU ON BASE...ONLY TO THE GATE!!!

SOFT SMILES FOR EVERYONE, BUT THE KIDS ARE BEING DRIVEN NUTS!

No, I won't be more security conscious than any other day... but if I were traveling I may have been... I will be doing the same thing I was doing last 9/11 and that is working.

The only change this year is that I will be wearing Red, White, and Blue to work in remembrance:(

Nope. Mainly because we've been lied to so much about other "attack attempts" by the government and the media that we can't believe a word they say.

Which ones were lies?

No, I won't be more security conscious. I haven't put 9-11 behind me either, but I refuse to live in fear.

Those were threats, not attempts. Threats aren't always carried out. People complained about our government not letting us know about the threat of attack before 9-11, so now our government tries to keep us better informed. I wouldn't say that they are lying.

Plus, lets not forget what terrorism is. They want to scare us. It makes sense that they would try to do some of it through propaganda. It's free, and it requires little effort.

Just all the "speculations" like people overhearing they guy on the cellphone in Vegas because he was Arabic, "Watch out for nuclear plants!" that our media kept toting like there was no tomorrow, watch out for low-flying cop dusting planes the poor guy who bought... what was it an ambulance? and was interrogated because he bought it for his tools? I mean come on! Plus, we have the "higher security" alerts that that Pennsylvania guy keeps putting into effect, which I think is an absolute joke... the attack that was supposed to happen on the Golden Gate Bridge, etc, but I don't care to go on anymore. I think I got my point out. None of this actually happened.

Lies? I would call that warnings, there is a possibility of other attacks, we already know that, I've never heard anyone say that they knew for sure there would be another attack, just that it was possible.

I won't be doing anything different, I refuse to live in fear, and I don't think anything is going to happen when we are expecting it.

I will not be anymore concerned than I have been before. I do ahve a new understanding of this country though. I do not need the added stress in my life of having to worry about am I next? Is my town safe? Is my state safe? Should I open up my mail?? My son has been very ill the past week and has been hospitalized. am i freaking out thinking that its Anthrax, or Smallpox???? um, no. Am I gonna worry about the turban wearing people who own the 7-11's in my area, thinking that they are going to put anthrax in the slurpies? No I am not. I am just going to go about my life just like I have before, but the only thing different is that I have a new understanding of america, and the gifts we are given.
