Anyone ever use a cd repair kit?

Some freebies are just not that great, I put some of my cd's in the compaq carrying case and it scratched them up, so I was thinking about getting a cd repair kit. Are they worth the money or a waste of time? tia

My son bought the CD Doctor for $29. I thought
it would be a waste of money but low and behold
IT REALLY DOES WORK. He has fixed many CD's and
also his Playstation games with it. After much
use it now needs a refill pack but that is only
$10. I don't know about any others but I know that
this one DOES work.:)

Yeah, they work. I bought the Fellows CD/Disc repair at Target for $7.99 and repaired about 4 CDs with one packet. They say each packet is only good for 2, but I put them in Ziploc baggies (I'm so cheap) to keep them wet and and after a couple of weeks, they're still good.
