We have been pre-approved for our new home purchase for up to $460,000 (not that we will use that much).

I stated a couple of month's ago that we were considering moving...actually I wanted to move, but hubby was resisting it. Our daughter, SIL AND grandbaby had moved in February about 30 miles away.

I miss the grandbaby so much that I decided it was time for us to move too. Hubby wasn't so enthused, however, because we both currently live VERY close to our jobs and we would be added a couple of hours to our commute each day.

Another reason I wanted to move is that we have a very nice, albeit modest home in Burbank, California. This area is WAY over inflated in property values. We can basically sell our house and buy A BRAND NEW DREAM HOUSE with the same money.

Anyway...we have been spending the past couple of months checking out existing homes and models and realized that we could buy a new house for the same money as an existing one.

The "tract" we decided on will be opening a new phase in a couple of weeks and those on the "priority buyers" list will have first dibs when these homes are released for sale. By pre-qualifying, that puts us on the list!

The homes in this phase won't be finished until march/april of next year...which is a good thing. That will give us a while to clean out all the cr@p we have accumulated over the years.

Our new house will be approximately 3,000 square feet!!! Hubby and I will have a master suite with a "sitting room" as part of it. Let me tell you...this is my dream house!

I am so excited...hubby is actually getting excited too because he will have a huge kitchen with island.

God has really blessed us!

Congratulations! Now the question is "Do you really want to have to clean 3000 sq.ft?"

That's why I have a cleaning crew every other week...LOL!!!

Actually, hubby and I (and our son) are real neat freaks...we would probably be considered compulsive in that area. You know...beds made every morning, dishes washed and put away every night, etc.

So, other than dusting and vacuuming and bathrooms...are house looks good all the time. My cleaning crew does the detail work and we "spruce up" on the off weeks.

That is so awesome...Glad everything worked out for you and your family. By the way, on the off weeks for your cleaning crew, can you send them to TN...My house sure could use it. :)

That's great Kelsey. Bet TJ will love having his "Emma" nearer. When are you going to put your house on the market?

Wow...congrats to you on the new dream house and getting to move closer to the grandbaby. My mom lives maybe 1/4 a mile away from me and she wouldn't have it any other way...something about those grandbabies. Congrats again...:D
