yes, it has happened to me, but I can't remember the specifics right now. I also got shot the other night--hope that one DOES NOT happen!

Yep. But usually they happen a couple of months to a couple of years later. They are usually very vivid dreams so I remember them well. Places I've not seen, people I haven't yet met etc. Haven't had one in a long time and never something scary. Hubby doesn't remember his dreams, another friend says she dreams in B & W. Not me, glorious technicolor!

fishmans, YES this has happened to me, and it's usually not too bad. You know sometimes dream are surreal and you know they won't, or CAN'T, come true like you dreamed them, even if they shake you up some.
This has happened since i was very young, when I dreamed about Chritmas morning, and knew everything I was going to get, what it would be wrapped in, and the "Surprise" visit from some family members didn't s urpirse me. these kind don't bother. I just get freaked out when i have a disturbing or bad dream.
but sometimes, if I have a very realistic bad dream, i get very worried that it will come true. Like when I dream about eddie being in car wrecks, or something bad happening to the kids.......sometimes im not sure if it's just my brain assimilating some news story that's gotten to me, or really a precognition. I try not to dwell on it though.
and there is not a time limit. sometimes it's within a few days, sometimes it's been over a year before one came true.

This happens to me all the time...
My mom always said to never tell your dreams to anyone before you eat breakfast or else they will come true!
Don't know if there is much truth in it or not!

Yes it has happened. I also get DeJaVu a lot. Usually things happen months or years later. The most realistic feeling one was about me getting a corneal abrasion. Started getting that dream 4 years before and never after.
The spookiest was I dreamt about MLK jr's funneral 1 week before he was killed. I told a teacher and she said to write an essay on it, (before the fact) Then she refused to accept the essay when it came true.
The latest recurring dream I had last month 3 nights in a row. I dreamt that I was driving, a yellow light came on in the dash and suddenly the wheel was whipped out of my hand and my van started flipping. It spooked me so bad that I have been driving very little since I got home. Time will tell if it comes true. I sure hope not.

It hasn't happened to me, but I have gotten Deja Vu. Which is the reason I believe that some part of the 90% of the brain we don't use let's us see the future and stuff like that.

I wouldn't call it dreams, but I have had premonitions(sp?)that come true, and it usually happens at night just as I am drifting off, but it isn't like a dream, sometimes it is just a thought, and it usually has something to do with my oldest son.

That happens to me all the time. It is kind of freaky!
My kids are like that too. They will tell their dad that I am home (when I go to the store or something). He will look out the window and I am not there, but a minute or so later I pull up. DH says its cause I had family members hanged (is that right??) for being witches in Salem a long time ago (well obviously a long time ago). The whole family has these "feelings".

omg yes i have had dreams like these, and so has my husband. see i met hubby while on vacation with parents in Ocean City MD back in 98. about 3 months before this trip i saw my self meeting a guy in the same way i eventually met my hubby. he claims to have had dreams about where he currently works about a year before he met me, and i know he couldnt have seen the place before this cuz he lived near OC and this place is in Pittsburgh PA. i have also had those gut feelings, like when you gotta do something and have no idea why. for instance the day my grandma was killed in a car accident i got this strange feeling to call her before i went to school(this was when i was 11) and tell her how much i loved her. needless to say i never made that call cuz i was late for school and ever since then i follow those "gotta do this" feelings i get.

I've had these too- the most memorable one was about a week after I started first dating my husband, I dreamed that he asked me to marry him. It didn't happen for two years, and the circumstances weren't anything like my dream- but I still think I got a hint that he was the right one.

All the time. Mostly its more of a Dejavu kind of thing... I know the other day we had a distant family member drop in and suprise us and when we were having a conversation I just KNEW I had lived this before... and I had never met this man before in my life! I have also had dreams that exactly predicted what would happen (for example I dreamed about riding in an airplane, and then that very day my mom called and I had to fly out b/c my granddad was having surgery.)
I also KNOW I dream in color, I always know exactly what color shirt I'm wearing in my dream, etc.

My older sister has these dreams or premonitions at times. When she was in high school she had a dream that 4 high school friends of hers were in a wreck with a train no less. Three days later it happened. Unfortunately their car stalled on the tracks and a train hit them. She really hates having this happen to her.
